How to craft a good pitch? I honestly don't know, but I took on the challenge to write a pitch in a week to compete at Delta X Pitching Competition. I grabbed Arto Reinik and Andreas Lindsalu by my side and for a week we locked in. We made a basic website, did market research, designed the deck and wrote a pitch. Fast-forward a week and we are pitching in front of the auditorium and we win 3rd place! I'd say it was the best result we could've hoped for because the best ideas were deeptech startups with PhD's behind the ideas and working MVP-s. But what I also spotted was the fact that some of the competitors came from a course called "Principles of Entrepreneurship". I've never learned entrepreneurship "classically". But with pitching, for example, I've learned from my previous pitches and will keep learning with every pitch to come. Oh and apparently we now have to pitch at Startup Day as well 😅

Working with Hamid Mandi and the team over the past few months has been an incredible experience. We pushed the boundaries of gaming accessibility using EEG technology, and I’m proud of my contributions to this exciting project. Key Contributions: Implemented a Checkpoint System: Leveraged C# to refactor the game's respawn mechanics, allowing players to restart from their last collected coin, enhancing gameplay and user engagement. Developed CI/CD Pipelines: Using Docker and Unity, I implemented CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration, automating builds and testing, which drastically reduced development errors and ensured project stability. Fixed Critical Software Bugs: I resolved several high-priority issues such as null reference exceptions, unassigned reference errors, and argument out-of-range exceptions, ensuring smoother gameplay and improving the overall user experience. Optimized Level Progression: Reworked and restructured levels 1, 2, and 3 to create a more linear, intuitive game flow, making the progression more natural for players while ensuring scalability for future expansions. Created JSON Configuration Files: I developed JSON configuration files for levels 2 and 3 to streamline isolated testing and speed up feature validation without requiring a complete playthrough of earlier levels. Designed a Maze Level Template: In addition to reworking platform levels, I created a maze level template to introduce a new dynamic where players navigate intricate pathways, adding variety and challenge without the risk of falling. This was showcased during the project pitch, highlighting the diversity in gameplay. What I Learned: This project provided valuable insights into the importance of CI/CD pipelines in game development, enabling automated testing and faster delivery of stable builds. Additionally, working with legacy codebases allowed me to understand the intricacies of maintaining large-scale projects and optimizing game systems for both scalability and performance. I'm thrilled to have contributed to Gambit, a project that's breaking new ground in gaming accessibility.
