A recent report sheds light on how Social Security's current system leaves gun violence survivors facing significant challenges. Here’s what you need to know: 1️⃣ "To apply, claimants must submit identity documents, employment history, and medical records, all of which involves resources that some applicants don’t have. For example, some don’t have adequate healthcare, which makes it challenging to get up-to-date medical records. Others have fallen into homelessness, making it difficult to gather the necessary paperwork." 2️⃣ "First, the survivors tend to be younger—in general, three out of five victims of nonfatal shootings are under 30. Younger applicants have a harder time getting approved for Social Security." 3️⃣ "Second, gun violence survivors often attempt to return to work after being shot, which can also hurt their applications." Share your thoughts on how we can advocate for better support systems. Let’s work together to ensure that survivors get the assistance they deserve. #GunViolenceSurvivors SocialSecurityDisability #SocialSecurityReform #Advocacy #SupportSystems

#TheWorldDayAgainstTraffickingInPersons #StopHumanTrafficking, #July30 - You may ask yourself why I, Psychic Angela Thomas, am speaking out about human trafficking. For years, I have volunteered my time providing information to investigators on missing person cases, and cold cases. Do know everyone is at risk. It does not just happen to a handful of people. It has become a modern-day commodity that many criminals wish to cash in on. Yes, criminals like to prey on the most vulnerable (e.g., homeless, children/organizations, models, d*ting sites), but that is low-hanging fruit. Business professionals, educators, and even housewives are victims. Modern slavery (worldwide human trafficking) is bigger than it has ever been in history. With handlers, small crime rings, organized crime rings, government crime rings, and the like, men, women, and children are held captive for labor, domestic, war, s*x trade, and satanic rituals. In the U.S. slaves are distributed to such places as farms, restaurants, shops, salons, motels, convention centers, tourist places, and so on. The buying and selling of humans take place through our borders, airports, bus stations, and highways. They are transported right in front of us as well as transported through shipping containers, riverboats, and trailers. Nothing is off-limits. I teach people how to use forensic remote viewing to aid in investigations, and beyond. Whether you are a part of law enforcement, search and rescue, or a related organization that helps find or care for victims who have been recovered, this 12-week workshop taught live and online is ideal for you. Others whether intuitives (e.g., psychics and clairvoyants), or even individuals who want to help bring them home, can participate. The "Remote Viewing & Criminal Casework: Tracking Missing Persons," 12-week workshop begins on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 1 PM to 3 PM, CDT.

Are you a victim of a crime, and not sure where to start? We have a few resources that may help. First, check out our Victim’s Rights Toolkit. It is a free, online resource that provides information about crime victims’ rights and how to exercise those rights in Ohio. To access, visit https://lnkd.in/eCquBzs. Next, fill out the Ohio AG’s Victim Compensation Program. This program covers a variety of expenses such as medical and counseling bills, loss of work, and funeral expenses for victims of violent crimes. To find out more, visit https://lnkd.in/eDsgehR. Finally, there is Victim Information and Notification Everyday (VINE). It is a network that notifies survivors and victims information regarding offenders or criminal cases.
