Experienced Chair / Director and Board Advisor to 21st century businesses and organisations ready to challenge the status quo and lead the way in a constantly changing world.
Been way for a while over Easter, but that is now done…
I like to talk about innovation, and so often it is about new tech and disruption and things n that space.
But C21 innovation is IMHO, much more than that.
It is also about the way that we are thinking.
About how we go about our day-to-day stuff.
And how we look at the world generally.
So, I was interested to read this story https://lnkd.in/ghSxW8bN on Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) recently.
This reflects an underlying concept that I have that, for C21 to be worthwhile, and for everyone to benefit from it, we need to drop short-termism (if that is a word…).
In this case, the idea that there has to be winners and losers in every federal budget. And it had better happen in the next budget cycle.
We see it every year in the days after the budget – in the headlines, on the broadcast news and in general conversations.
It is based on the perception of Zero Sum.
That the pie does not grow.
Which is not my experience and is another old idea that has had its time.
Evey time I have successfully collaborated, the result is a whole that is more than the sum of the parts.
And this underlies everything that I talk about.
My view is that we are all in this together.
And we all move forward together. Your win is my win.
And further, we are not here for a day or a week, but for many decades and there will be other coming along after us.
Look beyond the short term.
Because for C21, we need to change the way that we think.
Blow away the old paradigm to make space for a new one.
If you are up for it.
Short-termism and Zero Sum.… Our C21 challenge is to kill them off. If they are clogging up your headspace, jump over to www.donjameson.com, and let’s talk… C21 offers so many opportunities.

Igniting Innovation at Ideathon | HackX LBEF
Today’s Ideathon at LBEF was an inspiring showcase of creativity, collaboration, and thoughtful problem-solving. Serving as a judge, I had the privilege of witnessing students bring bold ideas to life, ideas that aligned with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations, reflecting their passion for impactful change.
What stood out was the clarity of vision and adaptability demonstrated by participants as they navigated from concepts to solutions. It was a powerful reminder that innovation flourishes when curious minds are nurtured in the right environment.
This event marks the beginning of HackX LBEF, an intra-college initiative that has set a strong foundation for what is to come. The enthusiasm and talent on display reaffirm our ambition to scale HackX LBEF into an inter-college event, inviting a broader spectrum of young innovators to collaborate and create.
I extend my heartfelt appreciation to the LBEF organizing team and mentors for making this experience possible. Together, we continue to foster innovation, drive meaningful learning, and cultivate the next generation of changemakers.

Though a bit belated, I'm excited to share that this past Spring, I had the honor of being selected as a Featured Innovator for the Seminole Innovator's Lunch Hour Speaker Series.
During my talk, I reflected on my journey into the world of innovation and the maker-space community. I spoke about the challenges of starting college during a pandemic, and how I ultimately found my place at FSU's Innovation Hub. I shared the lessons I learned from the missteps I took (which turned out to be valuable learning experiences), the breakthroughs I achieved, and everything in between!
Here are the 3 key takeaways I shared with the audience:
1. Don't be intimidated by the things that interest you.
For a long time, I was afraid to even touch a line of code. Starting as a tech major in my Junior year, I felt overwhelmed by the fear of being behind. But one day, I took on a project—and I failed. But in that failure, I learned. I kept going, improved, and soon realized that the real fear wasn't failure, but the fear of not trying.
2. Find places and people that push you.
If you're comfortable, you're probably not learning. Spend time with people who know more than you do, ask questions, collaborate on projects, and you'll be amazed at how quickly your skills develop.
3. Say YES, try random things, and see where they take you.
I ended up in the tech and innovation space by taking a random credit-filler course at the Innovation Hub. That course ignited a deep passion for creation, bold ideas, and problem-solving. So, say YES to new experiences—you never know where they might lead you.
Thank you to the Seminole Innovators organization and the Innovation Hub for hosting me, it was an honor sharing my experiences!

🌟 Neurodiversity: A Call to Action 🌟
In October, I sat down with my mentor, Stuart Coulson, to prepare a pitch for the Turing Innovation Catalyst Manchester accelerator finale. But as we talked, something powerful became clear. This wasn’t just about a business pitch.
💡 It was a moment of transformation.
What emerged was a mission—a call to shine a light on neurodiversity awareness. It wasn’t just about what ND Axon Limited is building but why it matters: the untapped brilliance of neurodivergent minds and the need for a world that recognizes their value.
Weeks later, this talk found its way to Warner Bros. Discovery HQ in London, where it sparked new conversations and opened eyes to the power of inclusion. Thanks Benjah Pozi-Quansah.
🎥 Take 3 minutes to watch this. It’s #important.
This message is more than just words—it’s a movement. Watch, share, and comment. Help us amplify the conversation and create real, lasting change.
📢 What’s next?
I’m thrilled to share that this is only the beginning. The next stop is the Life Science Access Academy, where we’ll continue to champion neurodiversity and inspire meaningful action. Thanks Kerri de Lange
🌟 To businesses, leaders, and organizations:
Are you ready to make a difference? Let’s work together to bring this message to your people, teams, your events, and your networks. By doing so, you can help create environments where neurodivergent individuals are not just included but empowered to thrive.
💡 This is the moment to act.
Let’s build a world where every mind is valued, where diversity fuels innovation, and where inclusion becomes the standard—not the exception. Together, we can make this happen.

2024: A Year of Growth, Resilience, and New Beginnings
This year has been one of the most defining chapters of my journey so far. It brought triumphs, challenges, and lessons that shaped me in ways I never imagined.
I had the privilege of mentoring hackathon projects for the first time during HackBMU 6.0 with ACM and contributing as a judge and part of the PR team for Hacked 2.0 at our fest.
My efforts were recognized when I was awarded the Best JOE Project, a milestone I’ll always cherish.
As an Executive Committee member in MUN (AIPPM), I experienced the power of diplomacy and teamwork firsthand.
Organizing TECHSTORM was a massive undertaking, but it taught me the true essence of leadership and collaboration.
I led three impactful sessions on Hackathons, IoT, and Pitching, sharing knowledge and inspiring others to step out of their comfort zones.
Not everything was a win—I faced rejection for ACM VP, a tough pill to swallow but one that fueled my determination.
2024 wasn’t just a year of accomplishments; it was a year of growth. It taught me to celebrate victories, embrace failures, and keep moving forward. As I look to 2025, I carry these lessons with me, ready to tackle new challenges and create even greater impact.

Friday Mood 🌟
One of the things we aim to have at every workshop and at our Pitch Competition is an atmosphere of support for our scholars. We encourage everyone to cheer as loudly as they can for every scholar who has the courage to show up and show out.
A picture says a thousand words, but there's nothing like experiencing it in-person.
