UN Environment Programme’s Post

In Uganda, where weather has become increasingly unpredictable over the past 15 years due to the climate crisis, UNEP and the UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre are working together to help banana farmers adapt to warming temperatures through better reporting of crop damages to ensure efficient insurance payouts. https://lnkd.in/dkwXYMYB

We are linking farmers to risk mitigation solutions that can address accessibility, affordability and improve their trust!

It is incredible how breakthrough technologies such as AI machine learning can be used to combat climate change and uplift communities. 💻🌟 We are looking to use these same tools at CHUSE, so thank you UN Environment Programme for sharing this perfect example of its successful use. 😁 Congratulations and excellent work to the Uganda Banana Research and Development Institute, ACRE Africa, and Agroinsurance Consortium! 💛🍌

Don't loose hope, cause some banana trees grown fuller after been cut in the mid part of the trees while roots are in the soil and some grows better in the roots like a bamboo shoot
