Women continue to be drastically underrepresented in business, with only 25% of senior management positions held by women globally. To achieve true gender equality, we must take action now.⚖️ By uplifting women and promoting inclusive leadership, we can accelerate progress toward achieving the #SustainableDevelopmentGoals, particularly #Gender Equality. Good morning #LinkedInGlobal! On this International Women's Day, let's celebrate the remarkable contributions of women and girls worldwide. Women have played a vital role in society throughout history, leading to stability, progress, and long-term development of nations. However, gender inequality has subjected them to discrimination and marginalization for centuries, and it is a major cause and effect of 60% of hunger and poverty. Today, we celebrate the exceptional women and girls who have delivered across the globe in industry, education, and leadership, to name a few. But we must also recognise that making sure women and girls have the right to reach their full potential should never be a question but a right. Did you know that if women had the same access to productive resources as men, they could increase yields on their farms by 20 to 30 percent, raising total agricultural output in developing countries by 2.5 to 4 percent? This would reduce the number of hungry people in the world by around 12 to 17 percent. Women play an integral role in society, from being the backbone of families to driving growth and development in communities. We owe it to ourselves and future generations to cease inequality, exclusion, and unfairness. Let's continue to empower others and pay forward an equal legacy. Life is a human right, and everyone deserves to evolve with love, light, peace, education, employment, inclusion, and equality. Let's keep building the bridge for humanity period. Massive #kudos to all influencer of positive action across the world who treat others with equity and mutual respect. International women's right is to stand equality with our male counterparts across every community globally. Life is a fleeting journey to live fully, help empower a world to continue to create we ourselves wish to experience and pay the growth 📈 process forward to our future generations showing all walks of life it's everyone's right for equity opportunity to be the best version of ourselves. This International Women's Day, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey of transformation I've witnessed recently in the tech space, particularly after spending a vibrant week in #Dubai followed by an insightful week at #leap24 . The evolution of #saudiarabia's tech landscape has been nothing short of phenomenal, and it's both inspiring and heartening to see a significant number of women not just participating but leading the charge in this sector. As a proud father to five angels, the quest for equity for women holds a special place in my heart. It's immensely gratifying to observe the achievements and leadership of the extraordinary women on the advisory board of REG-1 including Christina Blacklaws (she/her), Joanne Fischlin, and Varsha Gupta. Their contributions are paving the way for a more inclusive and equitable tech industry. Moreover, the impact of the Legal Technology & Innovation Institute, with its 65-70% female participation across six cohorts, underscores the crucial role women play in driving forward innovation and excellence in our field. In these turbulent times, it's more important than ever to champion the cause of women everywhere. Beyond striving for equity in the workplace, it's imperative that we stand together to protect and uplift women amid the myriad challenges posed by current geopolitical events. Today, let's celebrate the resilience, achievements, and pioneering spirit of women around the globe. Here's to creating a world where equity is not just aspired to but achieved, where every woman's contribution is valued and recognised. Investing in women is a crucial and impactful strategy for creating a better tomorrow. Here are several reasons why: 1. Economic Empowerment: When women have access to education, employment opportunities, and financial resources, it not only benefits them individually but also contributes to the overall economic growth of communities and nations. Studies consistently show that investing in women's economic empowerment has a positive multiplier effect on society. 2. Social Equality: Promoting gender equality is a fundamental human right. Investing in women ensures that they have equal opportunities in all aspects of life, including education, healthcare, and participation in decision-making processes. This leads to a more just and equitable society. 3. Education and skill development: Supporting women's education and skill development is essential for breaking the cycle of poverty and promoting sustainable development. Educated women are more likely to invest in their families' education and health, creating a positive ripple effect through generations. 4. Health and Wellbeing: Investing in women's health has a direct impact on the health and well-being of entire communities. Healthy women can better contribute to their families and communities, and maternal and child health outcomes improve when women have access to proper healthcare services. 5. Innovation and Creativity: Diverse perspectives lead to innovation. By investing in women, we tap into a wealth of creativity, ideas, and problem-solving skills that can drive social and economic progress. Diverse teams are more likely to come up with innovative solutions to complex challenges. 6. Political Participation: Increasing women's participation in politics and decision-making processes is crucial for creating more inclusive and representative societies. Women bring unique perspectives and priorities to policy discussions, leading to better governance. 7. Global Development Goals: Many global development goals, such as the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), emphasize the importance of gender equality and women's empowerment. Investing in women aligns with these broader initiatives aimed at creating a more sustainable and equitable world. To support these efforts, individuals, businesses, and governments can take various actions, including providing equal educational opportunities, promoting workplace diversity, ensuring fair wages, and implementing policies that support work-life balance. Investing in women is an investment in a brighter, more inclusive future for everyone.
