Last Friday, the UN Global Compact Network Australia hosted UN Special Rapporteur on Contemporary Forms of Slavery, Professor Tomoya Obokata, for a series of business consultations as part of his official visit to Australia. The consultations involved meetings with both large businesses and SMEs and gave UN Global Compact Network participants the opportunity to engage with the Special Rapporteur to discuss best practices and challenges faced by businesses in reducing modern slavery risks. We wish Professor Obokata and Lilia Petrosyan all the best for the remainder of their visit and thank Corrs Chambers Westgarth for hosting us. #UNGCNAEvents #ModernSlavery #BizHumanRights
