Unicorn Step’s Post

A petition filed in the Lahore High Court seeks an immediate ban on YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok, citing misuse for blackmail, fake content, and inappropriate videos. Filed by citizen Aslam through Advocate Nadeem Sarwar, the petition accuses social media platforms of harming the family structure and lacking proper licensing for uploaded content. The petitioner urges enforcement of Citizen Protection Rules and a shutdown of all social media platforms in Pakistan. #socialmedia #vlogging #family #pakistani #muslim #karachi #news

So, instead of addressing the real issue, we’re just going to shut down social media platforms? Platforms that help everyday people make a living and allow businesses—ones that have nothing to do with explicit content—to thrive? The problem isn’t the platforms; it’s the people. Even if explicit videos get taken down, there are still people reselling downloaded content openly in the comments, and others responding to them. It’s not the platforms; it’s US. Put such strict measures and puniahments into place that before anyone even thinks about sharing or getting involved they know the consequences.

YouTube? Seriously? Instead of banning content they are after the platform? YouTube is an amazing platform for learners.

it would be better to make a law to avoid family vlogging rather than banning apps which results nothing but just a gap in communication and latest knowledge
