Logistics, Logistics, Logistics! Providing corporate catering is as much about logistics as it is providing the delicious food for your guests and employees to enjoy. This is especially important when planning larger events for 100, 500, 1500 or more! Where is the food being set up? What is the flow of the guests for the buffet line? Who is setting up the food when it arrives? How are you going to serve all the guests in the allotted time? Corporate catering is about providing a specific service, at a specific time and knowing how to serve all of the guests efficiently. Working with an experienced caterer means that they are already thinking about all of these things before your event and will already have a plan upon arrival.

Do you consider yourself a good listener? Have you always been that way? We sat at our dining table overlooking treetops that basked in a paintbrush-pink sky, savoring an elegant Japanese meal. Our backs faced the open kitchen where Aoki-san, the chef, quietly cleaned up after serving the last dish. Silence. No response from us as we giggled and sipped our sake. Then, he rustled some paper. “It’s time to pay Aoki-san,” I whispered. My husband, puzzled, asked, “How did you know that?” Turning around, he saw Aoki-san waiting. This scene paints a picture of the power of listening beyond words. Listening is not just hearing words; it’s being receptive. When you listen deeply, you access data that others miss. I’ve watched many great leaders become better listeners and coaches. I recommend slowing down to become more present and patient. Because presence creates space for good listening. How have you improved your listening? What difference has it made? #ListeningSkills #Presence #LeadershipDevelopment #SelfMastery

Imagine if managers handed over the keys to the team's passions— what sort of permission would that unleash? What does that mean? *Have a passion for French pastries? Great the dessert menu will feature one of your amazing creations. *Have a passion for rum? Amazing you get to host a tasting for Father's Day. *Have a passion for music, yes!! You get to help create the playlists for the restaurant. *Have a passion for the holidays? Incredible - the lobby decorating is yours! Hear me when I say this: Key tasks need not only be performed by the management team. Look towards your team, know them well enough to know where their passion lies and allow them to share that with your team and your guests. Yes, guidelines such as budgets will need to be established but after that .. step back.. let them shine and watch them grow!

🍽 A restaurant where you order is ( probably) wrong- And that's the best part of it 🍽 Imagine walking into a restaurant, ordering your favorite meal, and getting... something completely different. Welcome to the Restaurant of Mistaken Orders, where the servers are individuals with dementia, and the beauty lies in the unexpected. And guess what? No one's complaining! In fact, the restaurant is a smash hit, teaching us some delicious lessons-- Mistakes can be Magic!!: What if you wanted Pasta and got served a pizza! Life, like business, is about embracing surprises. Sometimes, those little mistakes lead to the most delightful outcomes (or a new favorite dish!)🥘. Can Perfection be Overrated?: Have we ever met anyone or know someone who is perfect? And the best part is- It is Okay to not be perfect. It’s the human connection, empathy, and laughter that really matter. A wrong order? More reason to smile! 😊 Inclusivity of Joy as a side dish: Servers at this restaurant suffer from Dementia. As obvious, society doesn't expect much from them. However, in this place , the true inclusivity materializes. Dignity, respect, and value of every individual's contribution; plus a few surprises along the way! Isn't this what a great team is made of? Expecting the Unexpected!!: Whether in business or life, One can’t always control the outcome, but can always control one's attitude. Just like receiving the wrong dish, sometimes the unexpected is exactly what one might need. Giving Serendipity a chance is never going to be cliched. Who has led a life devoid of mistakes that turned into beautiful surprises? This beautiful concept teaches a profound concept that is fading away in a fast paced world -- Embracing Imperfections 😊
