Bowel Cancer Awareness Month - June is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month, a significant event organized by Bowel Cancer Australia to raise awareness about the country's second deadliest cancer. This month also focuses on raising funds for the leading community-funded charity dedicated to addressing the needs of those impacted by bowel cancer and empowering them to live their best lives. Bowel cancer takes the lives of 103 Australians every week (5,350 annually). Have you checked your breasts recently? With Pink Month fast approaching, we aim to raise more awareness about breast cancer. Checking your breasts regularly can help you become more familiar with your anatomy and help you spot small changes earlier. Early detection creates many more opportunities for treatment, which can be life-saving. Our Boobie Sista campaign in partnership with the National Breast Cancer Foundation is raising money as well as awareness. So far, we have raised $4,634 of our $10,000 goal! This money helps fund world-class research to support NBCF’s vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer. Fundraising Cycle for Prostate Cancer UK Prostate Cancer UK is an incredible charity which funds life-saving research as well as providing vital support for families. By raising awareness and funds, I aim to contribute to a future where prostate cancer is easier to detect, treat, and eventually cure. It’s about more than just the money—it’s about raising awareness, getting people talking, and letting those affected know they’re not alone. It’s about pushing for change, for better treatments, for earlier diagnoses, and ultimately, for a cure. This isn’t just another fundraiser. It’s a mission. A mission to stand with men and their families in the face of prostate cancer, and to work for a world where no one has to lose a loved one to this disease. I am going to make sure that I contribute to this future in the shape of a 10 hour non-stop bike ride, which I hope will raise greater awareness of the disease.
