Another exciting day at RSNA! Today we announced the 510(k) submission for CleaRecon DL* designed to improve the quality of cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) images by bringing AI-based 3D reconstruction to the interventional suite. This technology, which is pending 510(k) clearance, is designed to be used with Allia™ systems and aims to improve image quality by removing streaks in CBCT images, addressing the challenge presented by artifacts in scans as a result of natural movement of the body and the distribution of contrast. CleaRecon DL is intended to improve CBCT analysis through clear images and accelerate CBCT adoption in daily practice allowing physicians and their patients to benefit from this advanced imaging technology. #IMC2024 Update 18: New P.A.U.S.E and S.T.O.P technologies for optical myopia control. We didn't get much time to see the posters - there were so many! - but we wanted to highlight the work of nthalmic, a bunch of very clever myopia innovators from Sydney, Australia. They are working from their experience in extended-depth-of-focus (EDOF) to develop novel spectacle and contact lens technologies, including one new spectacle lens film (S.T.O.P) incorporating various optical patterns with elements of 1.8 to 3mm diameter, in axicon (cone) and light sword (non-rotationally symmetric) which provide dynamic retinal stimulus while maintaining on-axis visual performance. Their optical profiling indicates unique properties with larger spatially and temporally varying optical cues for defocus than currently avaiable lenses. What's particularly special about this is the spectacle film Nthalmic are developing is with the intent to signficantly reduce the cost to patient of myopia control treatment. RANZCR 2024 -DAY 2 After months of planning, #TeamAGFA was pumped to meet the #radiology community and discover a “life in flow” together at The Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) ASM. Our Australian colleagues demonstrated the very latest #EnterpriseImaging (EI) innovations; visitors to the booth were met with a fantastic experience, particularly in how EI facilitates location-agnostic image management, frictionless near real-time access to images, hassle-free collaboration, and increased confidence to clinical imaging practices. Hot on the agenda was our #Streaming Client, which addresses the explosion in medical imaging data, and offers care providers a web-based streaming technology that makes images available ‘blazing fast’, regardless of location or time. Day 3 at #RSNA24 was all about exploring the interesting technologies and innovations on display in the exhibit hall. I had the chance to tour through two different mobile imaging centers. One from TDC Trailer, LLC was a 10ft wide trailer on wheels. The solution from Akumin® was radically different - a more modular semi-permanent structure that could be transported. Thanks to Joshua Seyler @ Akumin for the tour. I also had the opportunity to chat with other innovators like - Jitesh S. Ghai, CEO of Hyland - Amit S Phadnis, CTO of RapidAI - Jim Salamon, National Sales Leader at LG Electronics - Sara Osberger and Jeanmarie Rogers at FUJIFILM Healthcare Americas Corporation Was there a common theme to these conversations?
