Are we overemphasizing the entrepreneur now? Are we? Are we kind of selling a dream that isn't going to be suitable for a lot of those people? If you can avoid taking money, you don't want to take money until you've got something that's proven and you've got unit economics that are working, then that's perhaps a really good time to put some fuel in the tank #1 it's a big distraction. So everybody I know who's raised venture capital has spent. Pretty much full time doing that until they get the check. There are human beings that are going to do things that they probably shouldn't do, right? Is that unique to entrepreneurs? No, I think it's not. And in fact, I would argue most entrepreneurs. Are pretty purpose driven people they want to they want to make the world or their little corner of the world a better place on balance the world is a much better place because of Steve Jobs and Michael Dell and Manish Sabharwal the team lease in India and Elon Musk and. And all the others, large and small, who've. Who have created innovations that serve customers in society most of the time very, very well. I don't think we're selling dreams. I think the media may be sell dreams want people to say look, here's an opportunity that's among the things you can do and and by the way, if you do this and do it well, you might just change the world. What's the most important reframe you'd offer to unlock the next step towards big impact from preneurs? Hi, I'm Chris Caldwell and welcome to Season 3 of Conversations on Climate. We want to be told the right way of doing things because it reduces the risks making a mistake, it helps us to copy successful people who've come before, and it means we won't stand out from the crowd.
