It is always lovely to hear from happy clients about their experiences with our graduates through the Norland Agency. Particularly, as this testimonial shows, Norlanders don't just help with childcare, but can also support parents and the family as a whole. wNC childcare experts react to emergency childcare funding ASHEVILLE, N.C. (FOX Carolina) - North Carolina legislators recently passed a $67.5 million stopgap bill to help keep the doors of childcare centers across the state open. The emergency funds look to help as federal funding came to a stop at the end of June, but it’s still far less than the $300 million many child care advocates wanted from the state. “It’s not enough money,” said Western North Carolina Early Childhood Coalition (WNC ECC) Director Greg Borom. Borom explained that the childcare crisis affects all North Carolinians, whether they have children or not, because it makes a big impact in the state’s overall economy. Some powerful messages on #budgetplanning from Simon Harris; the emphasis is on benefiting workers (income tax cuts), families (enhanced child benefits) and to support businesses (innovation and investment). Cost of living pressures and and the housing crisis are no doubt high on the list too. Overall the focus is on #sustainablegrowth. As a side - Simon's #SocialMedia Manager is in need of a raise; fantastic example of #personalbranding 🙌.
Today I will meet with Fine Gael colleagues from across Ireland as we plan for time ahead. I will want to talk with them about how we speed up delivery for people in key areas, how we deliver a budget that helps people with the cost of living right now, how we reform childcare and early childhood education and how we can lift the scale of ambition further on housing. Busy day ahead! I promised you I would work tirelessly in this role; I double down on that today. Have a good day

Recent bipartisan efforts have underscored the vital role of high-quality childcare in child development and economic growth. However, the current system often falls short, especially for low-income families who lack access to quality care. To address this, policymakers should: Target resources to families in need: Prioritize funding for parents who must work to make ends meet but lack access to high-quality childcare. Empower parents: Support policies that bolster parents' roles in their children's development, recognizing that families are the foundation of society. By focusing on these strategies, we can work towards a more equitable childcare system that supports all families. #EarlyChildhoodEducation #PolicyMatters #FamilySupport

Summer camps are just around the corner, and co-parents need to be on the same page. Here are 4 things to consider when planning for summer camps: ⛺ Camp Selections: Collaborate with your co-parent to select the right summer camps for your children. Consider their interests, schedules, and any financial considerations. 💰 Payment Arrangements: Determine how summer camp expenses will be divided between co-parents. Will costs be split evenly, or will one parent cover certain expenses? Clarify these details in advance to avoid misunderstandings. 🔄 Custody Arrangement Impacts: Take your custody arrangement into account when scheduling summer camps. What happens if a camp day falls on a day when the other parent was supposed to have custody? Have contingency plans in place to address such situations, whether it's adjusting custody schedules or finding alternative childcare arrangements. 🚗 Transportation Logistics: Discuss who will be responsible for dropping off and picking up the children from camp. Coordinate transportation arrangements to ensure a smooth transition between households. Effective communication and cooperation between co-parents are crucial for ensuring that children have a fun and fulfilling summer camp experience.
