The BlueBox OMICRON Zero won the 'Commercial & Industrial Heating Product of the Year' at the HVR Awards last month. This follows the announcement earlier in the year at the ACR News Awards, where the product won 'Commercial Air Source Heat Pump of the Year'. This is a popular heat pump that Unitherm supply, and for good reason. Utilising the natural refrigerant R290 (0 GWP), it is classified as 'new technology designed to produce heating in commercial and industrial environments', offering distinct benefits in energy efficiency, life cycle cost, and payback, as well as a significantly reduced environmental impact. The HVR Awards champion the best products in the industry, with the BlueBox Omicron Zero heating solution, one that we frequently source for our commercial clients. Our range of high-performance air source heat pumps deliver impressive ecological and energy system benefits. We supply a host of different heat pump types including high temperature, CO2, polyvalent and modular. - High temperature heat pumps can dramatically cut carbon emissions compared to traditional fossil-fuel based heating systems. - CO2 heat pumps available in air to water or water to water versions use CO2 (R744) refrigerant for the ultimate sustainability and longevity. - Polyvalent heat pumps can deliver heating and cooling or two grades of heat simultaneously from a single energy source. - Modular air source heat pumps provide excellent flexibility for applications where the heating demand is set to grow. - Propane heat pumps, available in both air to water and water to water versions, use propane (R290) refrigerant to offer high efficiency, environmental benefits, and robustness. https://lnkd.in/dhyhJWH3 Get in touch with one of our engineers to discuss more details about heat pumps: sales@klima-therm.co.uk #HVAC #heatingupgrade #heatpumps #districtheating #lowcarbonfuture #districtheating #lowcarbonheating #netzero Rhoss Klima-Therm

Our new CO2-based refrigeration system is now available, offering superior cooling performance in the low temperature range of our climate and temperature test chambers. The system can achieve temperatures as low as -50°C, providing an efficient solution, especially in the critical -40°C range required by many test standards. So what's new? - Higher cooling performance up to -50°C - Reduced noise level for a quieter workplace - Reduced power consumption - Natural refrigerant - not affected by the new F-Gas Regulation Are you ready for the new cooling technology? Whether putting in a central heat pump or switching to a HP water heater, residents as well as utility program administrators have many questions about what to expect and how to get the most from these and other emerging technologies. Lincus is pleased to present together with ICF two studies on these topics at the 2024 ACEEE Hot Air and Hot Water Forums. Among the questions the studies aim to address: What are the right conditions to recommend a hybrid, dual fuel residential space heating system to save GHG emissions and operating costs? What’s the right size (and cost) for a heat pump water heater? #HotWaterHotAir24

Whilst it can be easily overlooked, an Air Sourced Heat Pump (ASHP) is exactly that: the heat provided is sourced from the ambient air. Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) can work at very low temperatures, such as -20°C. As a result, they are popular in many regions which have a colder climate than the UK, like the Nordics. However, failure to take care of the heat pump’s airflow, for both the air drawn in by and rejected by the fans, can lead to lower performance, increased maintenance and, in the worst case, damage to the equipment. It’s important when positioning an ASHP to take measures to prevent air recirculation. If the air that has already passed through the ASHP is reused, its lower temperature will result in less efficient performance and increase the chance of freezing. Using structural fabrications, such as a raised platform, or matching the height of walls or shelters to the height of the ASHP will help the air to move away and dissipate into the ambient surroundings. Similar to how #HeatExchangers utilize waste heat, the PX G1300 utilizes pressure energy that would otherwise be wasted, cutting down the energy consumption of transcritical CO2 refrigeration systems. When integrated into new or existing systems, the PX G1300 pressure exchanger can reduce compressor workload to increase cooling capacity, system stability, and energy efficiency.
