🤎 If your child is feeling self-conscious about their eczema, it’s important to create a safe space for them to express their feelings. 🤎 Encourage open conversations where they can share their concerns without fear of judgment. 🤎 Help them understand their eczema doesn’t define who they are. 🤎 Role-play different scenarios with them, so they feel prepared to explain their condition to others if needed. 🤎 Your support means everything; be a good listener, offer reassurance, and remind them they are not alone in this. 🤎 Join our community to share experiences and find support!

I met the king of questions last night. And some damn good ones they were. Here's a few of my favs. ❓ Ask this when you next meet with someone... What was most useful about this conversation? You learn. They reflect. Then it becomes a useful conversation. ❓ When asked for advice... What's your best guess? Before you offer your opinion. ❓ When responding... Take a breathe and ask.. And what else? ❓ When stuck, ask... What's the real challenge here for you? ❓ A big question you can ask yourself right now... What is the one burden that's finally time to put down? ❓3 questions to ask yourself every morning. 1. What am I noticing? 2. What do I want? 3. What's the one thing I need to do today? ❓ And then in the evening. 1. What made today a good day? And then some gold statements that made me think... ⭐ Remember to breathe. You don't always have to answer immediately. ⭐ Consistency. Do it for as long as you can. When you stop. How quickly can you get back at it? This is the practice of consistency. ⭐ People don't learn stuff when you tell them to. They learn when they have time to reflect. New Year’s resolutions fail because people quit when things get tough—and their environment doesn’t hold them accountable. If you have big goals, you need a community that raises your standards and supports you when it gets hard. Be mindful of the collective comfort zone. R U OK? Day is a powerful reminder for all of us to take a moment and ask the people in our lives, "Are you OK?" Whether it’s a family member, a friend, or a colleague, reaching out can make a huge difference in someone's life, especially when they’re struggling. Sometimes, people find it difficult to speak about their emotions or challenges, but your simple question can be the first step towards support and healing. It shows that you care, that they’re not alone, and that help is available. Remember, it's not just about asking the question—it's about listening, offering support, and following up when needed. Today, take the time to connect and have that meaningful conversation. You never know how much it could mean to someone. Remember to ask, listen, and support. Together, we can make a difference.

❤️ Let’s talk about connections… Building meaningful connections is something I wholeheartedly believe in 🫶 Through my own experiences, I’ve seen just how transformative even the smallest acts of kindness and attention can be. Just taking that time to build strong relationships with children is genuinely one of the most impactful things we can do. When we create connections, we foster trust, belonging, and emotional safety, all of which are essential for growth and resilience. Children who feel genuinely cared for are more willing to take risks, overcome challenges, and build confidence in themselves. As Maya Angelou so beautifully said, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." This truth highlights the power of connection—it’s what helps children feel safe, seen, and valued. These bonds go beyond academic success; they shape children into empathetic, collaborative, and compassionate individuals. ↓ "I'm afraid they will think I'm like this, that they don’t see who I am" — is what I've so often heard from different people over the last weeks. When we spend too much time in a certain (social) role or environment, we tend to lose touch with other sides of ourselves. Learning to & allowing yourself to be different is what makes you feel more whole and complete. Living through the lens of those different parts of you. 🪐 If you feel like you’ve lost touch with some parts of yourself, I love to do this little challenge for a few days or a week: As much as you can, spend each day doing something new or what you haven’t done in a while. Like, — places you are at — people you talk to — clothes you wear — food you choose … Whatever it is — let it express a different side of you. Small or huge. At least once a day or for the whole day. Give yourself space to reconnect with what’s important to you. And once you did, it will feel more natural to show those sides in environments where you’re used to be only “that one way”.
