It’s a very timely grant, Focused on empowering sickle cell warriors To shape and influence the kind of research we do and how we do it. Will we get this grant? I pray so, But it’s not guaranteed. So, why cancel vacation to work on something that’s not guaranteed. Because this isn’t just about work. It’s about my community. It’s about my family. It’s about my purpose. The world is full of difficult problems. People are suffering from challenging problems. And, it’s going to take people Who understand That a fulfilling life and career is not just about ease all time. But about service and impact. > Who are you here to serve? > Where have you been placed to make an impact? When each of us can answer those questions, Then, we can change the world Starting with our small corners. Happy Juneteenth And Happy Wold Sickle Cell Day

I’ve seen firsthand the profound impact that tailored life enrichment programs can have on residents with memory care needs. Adapting life enrichment programs for our memory care communities is essential to providing the best possible care. Here are some important components: - Developing Person-Centered Programs: Honoring residents' histories and adapting to their changing cognitive abilities. - Managing Challenging Behaviors: Promoting calmness and providing a safe, supportive environment. - Engaging Across Stages of Dementia: Creating approaches that address unpredictable changes and communication barriers. - Building Strong Partnerships with Families: Personalizing care and navigating the emotional journey of memory loss. How are you currently adapting your programs to meet the needs of residents with memory care needs? __ P.S.: Join me and industry experts for our upcoming webinar on July 18th, where we'll dive deeper into new ideas and proven strategies to better serve your residents. Dr. Khan delves into the exciting possibilities of regenerative medicine and holistic well-being, sharing how lifestyle-focused strategies could unlock longer, healthier, and more fulfilling lives for all. Exciting interim results from this ARIIA Grant Funded Project, implementing and evaluating an online personalised #PhysicalActivity and #Wellbeing monitoring program focused on improving #FunctionalMobility in #AgedCare. Explore the results below ⬇
Founder, Champion Life. We design, develop and deliver online functional movement and wellbeing programs for children, older adults and people with disability.
We have some exciting interim results for Champion Life 's ARIIA healthy ageing research project with our partners Comlink Australia and University of the Sunshine Coast. Around half of our older adult participants have completed their post intervention assessments, and in the words of our Chief Investigator "The directions of the result are exactly what you'd wish. Those using Champion Life Seniors (CLS) had improvements on all measures. Those not using CLS did not" This supports the value of our program for older adults and we look forward to working with our partners in the future on initiatives to prolong functional independence, reduce falls and to support reablement. The partner organisation teams have worked tirelessly on this project and we look forward to presenting the full results later this year!
