Breakthrough in Disposable Glove Market! Experts in the disposable glove arena have long recognized the challenges and limitations of synthetic and natural rubber-based (Nitrile and Latex) gloves. These traditional solutions are a burden to the environment, pose health and usability concerns to their users and literally stink(nitrile)! Good news! Our Waterborne Polyurethane gloves are here and solve those problems. They are clean, eco-friendly (simply bio-degradable in common landfills) and provide more comfort and better protection. Our scientists have succeeded in delivering a better glove for companies who care about their employees and clients. Waterborne Polyurethane Dispersions (WPUs) have gained popularity as an alternative to traditional solvent-based polyurethane dispersions (PUDs) due to several compelling reasons: Environmental Friendliness: - WPUs are water-based, resulting in lower volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions compared to solvent-based systems. - Reduced VOCs contribute to better air quality and a safer working environment. Safety and Health Benefits: - WPUs are non-toxic and pose minimal health hazards during application and formulation. Unlike traditional PUDs, they are easy to handle and reduce the risk of fire during storage and transportation. Reduced Solvent Dependency: - WPUs eliminate the need for organic solvents, making them more environmentally friendly. This shift away from solvents aligns with sustainability goals. Excellent Performance: - Despite being water-based, WPUs maintain similar properties to solvent-based systems. - They offer excellent durability, and chemical resistance. In summary, the combination of environmental consciousness, safety, and performance makes waterborne PUDs an attractive choice for modern applications. If you care about your employees and clients, consider making the switch to Waterborne Polyurethane gloves today!

Optimal application of anti-mold solutions via spray machines after the shoe production line plays a vital, often overlooked role. Properly coating shoe batches with mold inhibitors protects inventory from contamination during crucial post-manufacturing phases. This prevents returns, recalls, or subsequent destruction that hurt profits. Consistent spraying of new batches of shoes ensures each pair receives adequate coverage. The correct techniques also optimize solution dispersion for maximum protection. The following protocol checklist ensures spray machine optimization: • The distance between each shoe on the treadmill must be greater than 10cm. • Allow adequate drying time before packaging. • Visually inspect random pairs to verify evenly distributed coverage inside and out. • It is recommended to use gloves when working to prevent mold. To facilitate the packaging operation, a small mouth can be cut into the fingertips of the gloves. • After the machine is finished, do not touch the shoes with your hands. Be sure to wear gloves before packing. If you do not wear gloves during packaging, direct finger contact with the top will remain as fingerprints. Mold only needs a little nutrition to grow. Therefore, nutrition in the fingerprint will pose a significant risk of mold, especially in summer. Careful spraying provides crucial protection by containing the spread of spores if stock contracts mold. Rigorous surface coverage means contamination remains isolated. Facility managers can quickly quarantine affected pairs for remediation before discarding entire batches. Likewise, the anti-mold barrier inhibits the uncontrolled acceleration of fungal growth, keeping damage and losses to a minimum. Routine post-manufacturing shoe spraying turns an unavoidable nuisance into smaller, manageable incidents. Are regular disposable gloves going to go the same way as single use plastics? This is something that is at the forefront of many companies that use nitrile or latex gloves daily, and for good reason. Not long ago we thought nothing of using a plastic teaspoon in the canteen or using plastic knives and forks whilst having dinner in the workplace, but that came to a very abrupt end. The ban on single use plastics in October 2023 meant so many businesses had to change and change very fast! With the journey to NetZero in full swing and the increasing pressure for businesses to become as sustainable as possible there is every chance other disposable product could be headed the same way. This could include everything from masks, hair nets, and what we focus on, gloves. The sheer volume of gloves that are used in the UK alone makes them a target to be next in line for change. But this doesn’t have to be a huge problem, we can help you through this process in changing over to a future proof version of nitrile gloves that allow you to continue performing as a business in confidence. We offer gloves that confirm to all the necessary guidelines and still offer the user excellent quality and usability. Disposable gloves – are they a global problem? We all know how convenient disposable gloves are. We know they protect our hands from harsh chemicals and conditions, and keep us safe from contact with harmful or unpleasant things. And we know how quick and easy disposable gloves are to put on so we can do our job safely and cleanly. Then, when we’re done, we simply pull them off and throw them away! No further thought to their disposal or storage. Yes, disposable gloves really are convenient, which is why they’re enjoying stratospheric global growth in popularity – upwards of 500 billion disposable gloves were used in 2022 (source: Internet-based industry research and projections). ‘WOW!,’ you rightly say. And then you double-take, more concerned this time, as you realise those 500 billion disposable gloves were discarded into landfill or incinerated and are an environmental catastrophe. Many of the gloves in landfill are only marginally bio-degradable such as the widely used latex versions, which survive for decades! Others, like those made from nitrile (the fastest growing latex alternative) or poly-plastic, do bio-degrade, some faster than others. However, the reality is that biodegradability, whether in decades or days, is not the issue. The real issue is that disposable gloves, whatever they are made from, go into landfill! There they start to break down, producing unpleasant chemicals and substances that leach out during biodegradation and enter our water and food chain. Medical research is showing that these microplastics which we then ingest are a huge contributing factor to the occurrence of strokes and heart attacks. So, you might say, it’s time for the gloves to come off and for us to start to consider safer alternatives. #Gloves #biodegradable #Microplastics #Latex #nitrile #revoglov

How Does The Biodegradation Process of Nitrile Gloves Work? ♻️ Breaking down the biodegradation process of nitrile gloves is akin to unveiling the intricacies of a magic trick. This process combines elements of environmental science and material engineering. Biodegradable gloves are crafted from materials that are particularly susceptible to microbial activity. Once these gloves are discarded, microbes initiate the decomposition process, transforming the gloves into simpler substances such as water, carbon dioxide, and biomass. This decomposition process is notably quicker than traditional gloves. For instance, a conventional nitrile glove may take over a century to decompose, whereas a biodegradable glove can achieve this in just a few years. This is akin to comparing a marathon to a sprint! Biodegradable gloves represent a crucial advancement in our pursuit of sustainable healthcare. By adopting this innovation, we are not only protecting ourselves but also preserving our planet. This is a win-win situation, where environmental responsibility and healthcare safety come together. As we progress, let’s continue to wear gloves that ensure safety while also having a minimal environmental impact 🌍 info@csprotections.co.uk #innovation #sustainability #future #ecofriendy
