#AI #KANs released May 2, 2024 🚀 Based on the paper titled "KAN: Kolmogorov-Arnold Networks" from the arXiv database, the development of Kolmogorov-Arnold Networks (KANs) marks a significant advancement in AI memory capabilities 💡. KANs utilize learnable activation functions on network edges, replacing traditional linear weights with univariate functions parametrized as splines. This innovative change enables KANs to outperform Multi-Layer Perceptrons (MLPs) in terms of both accuracy and interpretability, offering a new direction for enhancing the memory efficiency and effectiveness of AI systems.
