How HCA, Tenet and CHS have grown — or shrunk — over 5 years: Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare operated 186 hospitals by the end of 2023, up from 179 in 2019. Meanwhile, two other large for-profit health systems — Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems and Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare — have trimmed the number of hospitals they operated over that span. http://dlvr.it/T44PK7

10 years from now, what can we build to create a more humanised world for seriously ill children and families? - How will you have helped create hubs where children can access personalised care? - Where will you advance the innovations and solutions that will nurture families through this journey? - What action can we take to advance the integration of palliative care in communities? - Can we design stronger outcomes for impactful clinical care? Together, we can collectively scale healthcare systems for seriously ill children and youth. Today, on World Hospice and Palliative Care Day, join us in co-creating the next ten years of care for the 8 million children who need access to specialised palliative care. #WHPCDay24 #10YearsOn #PalliativeCare

Healthcare is essential: everyone must have access to it. This is Health Equity Month, a time to focus on reducing the disparities that exist in healthcare access and outcomes. In honor of this month, we wanted to highlight our Community Paramedicine program. By extending care beyond traditional settings, community paramedics play a pivotal role in bridging healthcare gaps and fostering stronger, healthier communities. "Community paramedics can bridge the gap between medical need and accessibility, extending care where it is most needed. By reaching those in rural areas, the homebound, and the elderly, these programs not only provide vital medical services but also forge connections between underserved individuals and the support networks they require to survive." Christopher D Goenner, MHS, NRP, NCEE | Program Chair, Community Paramedicine Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gthjAs9d

Care Campaign for the Vulnerable, recent Strategies for a Safer Care Roundtable, supported by our partners Slater and Gordon Lawyers (UK) sparked crucial discussions about improving support for those most in need. One of the key takeaways came from Derek Breingan 💚 who spoke passionately about the changes the care sector must make to ensure no vulnerable person is left behind. He emphasised the importance of better collaboration, tailored care approaches, and stronger advocacy to address the unique challenges faced by individuals and their families. This reminded us that improving support isn’t just about increasing resources but also about promoting a culture of compassion, accountability, and innovation across the sector. By listening, learning, and working together, we can create a system that delivers safety, dignity, and fairness for all. CCFTV is committed to championing these values and working with care providers and families to ensure those most vulnerable are supported in care. Care Providers of Minnesota members… Do you want your unused excess medications repurposed to help Minnesotans in need? Then stop by the RoundtableRx booth today to see Rachel Rockwell PharmD, RPh, MPH and myself to learn more! RoundtableRx is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit and Minnesota’s only central repository for redistributing safe, high-quality medications to those in need. Licensed by the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy, RoundtableRx partners with long-term care facilities, pharmacies, healthcare providers, and individuals to collect unused, unexpired medications that might otherwise go to waste. In fact, 77% of these redistributed medications support adults over 50, and 50% go to adults over 65—making a real impact on the health and well-being of older adults across our state. Whether you’re looking to make a difference in patient care or support sustainability, we’re here to discuss how your contributions can have a direct, positive impact on our communities. See you at the booth! #CareProvidersMN #RoundtableRx #MedicationAccess #PharmacyImpact #SupportingSeniors #ReduceWaste #CommunityHealth #MinnesotaNonprofits #AgingWell #HealthcareForAll #SustainablePharmacy #PharmacyInnovation
