Communication of Opening/Closing Hours It is crucial to inform your transport provider with accurate information around opening hours and any dates the sender or receiver are closed. The special instructions section of consignments is incredibly useful for this, and can be used in the following ways: - Opening/Closing Hours during the week, including if any days a receiver closes early (i,e Fridays). - Providing the receivers opening/closing dates for the Christmas break for connotes dispatched close to Christmas. By doing this you will minimise futile delivery & pickup fees, as well as minimising the likelihood of delays for delivery. Additionally - it's important to advise your transport provider with this information as well once you are aware of any shut down dates over the Christmas break. This will allow daily pickups and any deliveries to be held, as well as ensuring we are able to provide the required support to your consignments and customers over your shutdown period.

The cost from a purely monetary point-of-view and the waste and pollution associated with all the back and forth. Online ordering has created a timing efficiency for the consumer, but shopping in stores can be much more deliberate and in turn, more choice conscious. Better for the environment?
