Our President, Lilly Yeatman was on this rockstar panel and she shared a few pearls of wisdom from the event: • Have an entrepreneurial mindset: Start things. Do things. Try things. Show up. Every woman on the panel had a story to share about why thinking and acting this way made a huge difference in her career from the early days to today.  • Ask: Ask questions (the others in the room are probably thinking the same thing). Ask for help. Ask for advice. Ask for more. Ask for a break. You won’t get what you want or need if you don’t ask for it. Worst thing that can happen is a “no.”  • Don’t be afraid to pivot. If it isn’t working after many years or if it if it isn’t working right away. Move. Try something else. PIVOT. Just keep moving. Don’t stand still and don’t let it break your spirit or confidence.

What an honor it was to host this month’s Women’s Catalyst Circle event on Wednesday at the Maryland Innovation Center. This circle experience: The Presence of Your Power: The Power of Your Presence, brought women together to tap into their power and presence. In a world that’s calling for women to step out boldly, having these conversations around power—what it means, how we express it, and the limiting beliefs that hold us back—feels more urgent than ever. One of the most striking takeaways for me was this: when asked to name powerful women who inspire us, many of us struggled to come up with names. It’s not because these women don’t exist, but because the narrative around women and power is still so underdeveloped. This reminded me why it’s essential for each of us to build our own power muscles—not just for ourselves, but to inspire those around us. And it was one of the action steps I had each attendee take! We’re in a season where women’s rights are being challenged, where progress feels like it’s stalling—or even moving backward. This is the time for us to use our voices and our messages as power tools. To stand firm in who we are and what we believe. To refuse to be silenced. We are the leaders we’ve been waiting for. And every time we show up in our fullness—our power, our presence, and our truth—we light the way for others to do the same. To everyone who joined this event: thank you for bringing your courage, insights, and energy.
