Thank You for joining our women's networking event last night, Build Her Up! We were so inspired by the insightful panel discussion and powerful connections made at last night during our session with female leaders in Construction and Engineering industries. The theme "Build Her Up" resonated deeply, with Moderator Cora Miller, and Panelists Jessica Tagliaferri, and Stacy Irons sharing their journeys, navigating change in the construction industry, and offering invaluable advice. Quotes like "You are strong and you belong here" and "The people are the most important part" captured the essence of the evening – a space for women to connect, support, and empower each other. This is just the beginning! We're excited to continue building this thriving community and look forward to welcoming you to our next session in August. Stay tuned for more details! Miss the session? Comment below and we can invite you to our next one. All are welcome. Major thanks to our partners at Salesforce, Binswanger Glass and National Trench Safety for putting this together and providing such fantastic discussion! Thank you Laura Small, SPHR for your vision in creating and executing the first ever “Women in Power” Summit. Our President, Lilly Yeatman was on this rockstar panel and she shared a few pearls of wisdom from the event: • Have an entrepreneurial mindset: Start things. Do things. Try things. Show up. Every woman on the panel had a story to share about why thinking and acting this way made a huge difference in her career from the early days to today. • Ask: Ask questions (the others in the room are probably thinking the same thing). Ask for help. Ask for advice. Ask for more. Ask for a break. You won’t get what you want or need if you don’t ask for it. Worst thing that can happen is a “no.” • Don’t be afraid to pivot. If it isn’t working after many years or if it if it isn’t working right away. Move. Try something else. PIVOT. Just keep moving. Don’t stand still and don’t let it break your spirit or confidence.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated in our first ever Women in Power Summit on Thursday evening. We had over 100 women from all walks of life join us here at RPA for networking, inspiration, and connection. Special thanks to Kirsten Atkinson, Rochelle Newman-Carrasco, Lilly Yeatman, Matana LePlae, and Mia von Sadovszky, for an incredible panel conversation, and to Cecilia Gorman, Lindsay Benitez, and Madeline Keider for empowering breakout sessions. I loved seeing old friends (Erika Safir, Rhonda Fortner, Jill Pool, Tracy N. and more) and making a TON of new connections myself! I've already started thinking about Women in Power Summit 2025 - we will be bigger, better, and hybrid for next years event! See you all then! And thank you to Amy Seidner and Nicola Galassi for the pictures!

The Countdown Begins: Empowering Women in the City of Lights As we count down to International Women’s Day, I’m honoured to prepare for an incredible opportunity to share my wisdom at the iDIAS Women Leadership & Women Health Congress 2025 in Paris, March 8-9. Words—they’re more than what we speak or write. They’re the architects of our beliefs, the framework of our choices, and the echoes of our past that can keep us stuck. The energy of your words holds the power to keep you tethered to limiting beliefs, drawing in the weight of your past, and leaving you out of alignment with the present moment. But here’s the magic: the future hasn’t arrived yet. As Rumi said, “Don’t get lost in your pain, know that one day your pain will become your cure.” When you learn to harness the power of your words, you open the door to rewriting your story with clarity, passion, and purpose. Let’s prepare to celebrate International Women’s Day in the most empowering way possible—together, in the City of Lights. Paris will be the backdrop for transformation, collaboration, and new beginnings. Stay tuned as I count down to this extraordinary event, where we’ll explore how to: • Shift the narrative of your inner dialogue. • Break free from limiting beliefs. • Rewrite your story for a future of empowered choices. The journey to transformation starts now. I can’t wait to celebrate, inspire, and grow with incredible women leaders in Paris. Let’s step into this moment of collective empowerment together. Mark your calendar for March 8-9, 2025, and let the countdown begin! #EmpoweredWomen #CountdownToParis #RewriteYourStory #WomenLeadership #InternationalWomensDay2025 #TransformYourFuture #CityOfLights #PurposeAndPower

What an honor it was to host this month’s Women’s Catalyst Circle event on Wednesday at the Maryland Innovation Center. This circle experience: The Presence of Your Power: The Power of Your Presence, brought women together to tap into their power and presence. In a world that’s calling for women to step out boldly, having these conversations around power—what it means, how we express it, and the limiting beliefs that hold us back—feels more urgent than ever. One of the most striking takeaways for me was this: when asked to name powerful women who inspire us, many of us struggled to come up with names. It’s not because these women don’t exist, but because the narrative around women and power is still so underdeveloped. This reminded me why it’s essential for each of us to build our own power muscles—not just for ourselves, but to inspire those around us. And it was one of the action steps I had each attendee take! We’re in a season where women’s rights are being challenged, where progress feels like it’s stalling—or even moving backward. This is the time for us to use our voices and our messages as power tools. To stand firm in who we are and what we believe. To refuse to be silenced. We are the leaders we’ve been waiting for. And every time we show up in our fullness—our power, our presence, and our truth—we light the way for others to do the same. To everyone who joined this event: thank you for bringing your courage, insights, and energy. Let’s keep these conversations going—and keep building a world where women’s power isn’t questioned, but celebrated. Thank you Howard County Economic Development Authority for supporting this initiative! Next one March 11th! #power #powerwith #womeninleadership #leadershippresence #womenscatalystcircle
