In a study of all Danish residents giving birth at ≥20 weeks from 1995 to 2018 except those with prepregnancy cardiovascular disease or chronic hypertension, the cumulative incidence of initiating antihypertensive medication within two years of delivery was 32 to 44 percent in those with a hypertensive disorder of pregnancy (HDP; preeclampsia, gestational hypertension) and 1.8 percent in those without HDP. These data support close postpartum blood pressure monitoring in women with HDP. Stay #UpToDate with What's New in #obstetrics: https://ow.ly/uFgr50UfnIW #ClinicalUpdates #meded
