I could write a long post about how inspiring our Tiba-Tech off-site was and how we aligned on the strategic direction for 2025. And yes that happened as well, but I’ll be honest. For me the main takeaway from EVERY off-site at EVERY company is the social activities: learning surprising things through casual conversations, getting to know each other better and simply having a good time.

Dextego launched a spooky challenge, Ioanna Mantzouridou Onasi nominated me and after hearing the ghosting stories from their AI Coach, Esther, I am sharing my 👻 experience. It was my first internship at a startup, and things were finally taking off. We were actually getting clients—good clients! It felt like we were on the brink of something big. But then, out of nowhere, things took a turn. First, the salaries stopped coming in. One by one, people started quitting—smart move in hindsight—but a few of us stayed (still friends with all of them btw). Why? Because we had landed those clients, and we weren’t about to leave them hanging. Then things took a turn for the worse. The cleaners stopped coming, the coffee supply dried up... and the office felt more like a ghost town every day. And then came the final blow—no Wi-Fi. (funny I know) but, we shared mobile hotspots from our phones just to keep things running. It was kind of ridiculous... At one point, we had to ask ourselves, “Is this company still, you know... working?😅 The Founder? Totally ghosted us. No emails, no updates—just disappeared. But funny enough, that wasn’t the end. Those clients we landed? They were the reason we stayed, and they motivated us to start fresh and build something for ourselves. So yeah, the startup ghosted us, but we didn’t stop—if anything, it pushed us to work for ourselves. The question isn't: how do I know when to quit? It's: what's the COST of not quitting? Whilst everyone is trying to establish their career and hustle culture tells us to chase the next promotion... ... I quit. Why?? Reflecting on the 3 months since, it goes back to opportunity cost. Whilst hustling, there's no time to think. Whilst striving for endless growth, there's no room for sustainability. Whilst doing the MVP, there's no tolerance for creativity beyond the job description. 👉 Whereas now... I get to work with innovative + dream brands to produce - top performing campaigns with Miro (27k+ views, 450+ saves combined) - strategic ad creatives for Mobbin - high converting UGC content for Jarvo - a documentation of my incredible experience with Dayuse.com I attended multiple inspiring meetups and spoke at a launch event. I've met my Instagram community members, mentored junior designers and hosted a sold out workshop. To be clear, quitting is not for everyone. It's deeply personal + requires a level of privilege. But this is what my next chapter looks like — 📸 Content creation as a medium for creativity driving business value ✏️ Designing customer experiences with heart and craft at the centre 🌱 Sharing community growth strategies for impactful brands And mostly, just embracing the plot twists ✨ You down for the ride?
