There are few people in this world with Ilya's talent and smarts. Tech people follow tech people, so high caliber teams will automatically gravitate to this new project. In the next 6 months the team he will put together will be in the top 5 most talented AI teams in the world. If all works well, might be #1 most talented team in the world. Valuations aren't just about revenue. They account for potential, formation, gravitation, experience, network a lot more than dollars and cents. In this particular case, 5B is pretty conservative.
