When you are a part of a community, there are a lot of things that go into that community, right? And we want to help serve our community. My name is Alejandra. The students call me Miss B, and I teach the leadership development course here at O'Keefe Middle School. I think that everyone has leadership qualities, but I don't think everyone has the opportunity to develop and explore them. They are leaders. We're going to be more intentional, right? So we want people to see us as leaders. So it's reinforcing that that they can do great things. They just have to continuously. In the effort, yes. When I first got in that class, I was like, OK, why am I here? My name is Janaya beyond the 7th grade and I go to Georgia O'Keefe Middle School in 6th grade. I was a little off like. I had some off time, but now like that, I'm in 7th grade, I feel more mature. She's just a rock star. I want to be a doctor. Helping people, because I help a lot of people in this school. That's what I like to do. I've just seen, you know, Chennaya make the right choice for herself, which is really incredibly hard. You know, in 7th grade when you want to be social and you want to be with your friends, when you do the right thing, that reflects some other people and people be like, oh. I wonder if I should try that. And I think just leading by example is such a powerful way to lead. It's not necessarily that she's, you know, like telling other kids what to do or anything like that. She's just being the example in the room. And sometimes like, that speaks volumes. We've not only seen just such a great improvement in her, but her friends as well. That's a leader. That's what the leader would do if he actually proud of myself when I hear that word because like. I don't know, it's just like it give me that feeling that I really never had before him and I just wanted to keep it moving. And the more I hear that word, it just makes me go straight. We have so many things that we're trying to unlearn and work through all these challenges that they have faced throughout their schooling. And like this one class is supposed to be like a huge. Change and I was so worried, but actually it is doing that. It is having them reevaluate their choices that they're making and that they are smart, they can be successful, they are being successful and that's been really great. Bye.
