UrbanVind’s Post

I’ve been waiting so long to share this until it was officially signed, and now I can finally reveal: our startup UrbanVind has secured over €150k in pre-seed funding from EIT Urban Mobility by winning the Main Innovation Open Call for 2025! 🚀 A huge thumbs up to my amazing team— Pookhao Chinpongsuwan, Pim Welting and Ivo De Geus. Working without a salary for an entire year has finally paid off in the best way possible. Glad I left my previous job and managed to stick with this over the last year. My co-founders have done the same. I’ll be moving back to The Netherlands next year as I’ll be closer to Ivo and Pookhao as we embark on a 1-year project together. During this project, we will deploy CrowdFlow, our novel solution for counting passengers in public transport and understanding their Origin-Destination travel patterns, in two cities: Jurmala, Latvia, and Antalya, Turkey. Our consortium partners include the municipalities of Jūrmala and Antalya, with local support from VEFRESH in Latvia and KTH Royal Institute of Technology for R&D.
