Reflecting on a challenging chapter in my career… I’d spent two years dedicated to my last company, immersing myself in two major projects, learning the business inside out, and building strong relationships along the way. I was excited when I was recommended by the Managing Director for a new project—it felt like an acknowledgment of my experience and contribution. But things didn’t go as expected. Within weeks, I found myself feeling undervalued and unappreciated, and the way I was treated by the contracted project manager left me feeling like a fresh graduate rather than a seasoned professional. After 30 years in corporate, I’d never experienced anything like it. For the first time, I was questioning my worth and feeling my confidence erode. After 8 weeks, my mental health was suffering, and I knew I needed to step away. My husband encouraged me to prioritize my well-being, so I informed the project manager and HR that I didn’t feel set up for success and that I felt ‘it was better for the long term success of the project’ that I step away. Unfortunately, a month later I was made redundant and I believe that choice contributed to this outcome. It felt like everything I’d invested—years of experience, learning, and relationships—was reduced to nothing. It took a huge toll on me. Thankfully what helped me move forward was the personal and professional development work I’d done throughout my career and business. These experiences, along with a single reach-out from an old friend about a potential role, were crucial in helping me rebuild my confidence and reignite my belief in my own abilities. I am incredibly grateful to the people at Bapcor for their belief in me and for investing in my potential. Thank you for reminding me of my value and helping me rediscover my confidence. To anyone who may feel undervalued, know that your worth is not defined by one role or one person’s opinion. Surround yourself with people who see your true potential and hold on to your belief in yourself. 🌟 #CareerJourney #Resilience #MentalHealth #ProfessionalGrowth #CorporateExperience

People Warned Us But Impossible Itself Say I Am Possible !!!!!!!! 💁♀️ As I reflect on my journey, I am reminded of the resilience and dedication it has taken to reach where I am today. The two pictures here hold special significance for me. 🗣️ The first is from an industrial visit to J. Junaid Jamshed Private Limited , where my team and I engaged in enriching discussions about innovative marketing strategies and industry best practices. 🤝 This experience not only broadened my understanding of the marketing landscape but also reinforced the importance of practical learning in a fast-evolving field. 🖼️ The second photo, taken today at Unilever office, symbolizes another pivotal step in my professional growth. Each experience I've gained has been a stepping stone toward building my career. ✈️ During my second semester, I faced a challenging reality: balancing my studies with work commitments was no small feat. Recognizing that taking a traditional job was not feasible, I began seeking remote opportunities. I eagerly accepted projects that did not offer immediate financial compensation because I believed in the intrinsic value of hands-on experience. 💬 This time spent working, learning, and adapting in various roles has equipped me with valuable skills in research, communication, and strategic thinking. Despite my determination, I encountered skepticism from some peers and colleagues who questioned my decision to pursue unpaid work. 🟥 They warned me about the potential toll on my health and academic performance. However, I remained focused on my long-term goals, driven by the desire to grow both personally and professionally. 🎉 The result? I achieved a commendable 3.5 CGPA while simultaneously gaining invaluable insights into the industry. 💁♀️ Stepping out of my comfort zone has continually opened doors to new opportunities, proving that hard work and perseverance truly pay off in the end. Each challenge has strengthened my resolve and shaped my path forward. "محنت کبھی ضائع نہیں ہوتی، یہ آپ کی کامیابی کا راستہ ہموار کرتی ہے۔" #GrowthMindset #Resilience #MarketingJourney #ContinuousLearning #ProfessionalDevelopment

🚨 Workplace stress is a hot topic these days, and for no good reason. For fresh graduates, that first job can sometimes feel overwhelming. But learning how to handle it is key. 💪 👉 First: NEVER take things personally. Professional life is different from personal life. Yes, building healthy relationships with colleagues is important, but don’t internalize negative feedback or criticism. Stay objective! 🎯 👉 Second: If this is your first job, remember—it doesn’t define your entire career. A few years down the road, nobody will ask you about your first role! 🌱 👉 Finally: If you’re dealing with a tough boss who doesn’t value work-life balance, start documenting everything via email. 📨 Track your work hours, tasks, and deliverables. Keep management informed in a professional tone. If long hours without acknowledgment become the norm, raise it with your manager—supported by your email records. And if things don’t improve, reach out to HR or ask for a project change (again, professionally). 🚀 If that still doesn’t work, start exploring new opportunities. 🔎 Remember: Your career will have ups and downs, but it’s never the end. Stay smart with how you communicate and manage things. You got this! 💼✨ #WorkplaceStress #CareerAdvice #ProfessionalGrowth #FirstJob
