Last week, the United States Navy-Marine Corps Court of Criminal Appeals sat at #BULaw for a live en banc oral argument. Thank you to Senior Judge Col Alison L. Daly, USMC; Senior Judge CAPT Colin A. Harrell, USMC; Senior Judge CAPT Stuart T. Kirkby, JAGC, USN; the counsel for the parties and amici; and to the clerk and commissioner of the NMCCA for their visit and for taking the time to answer students’ questions. At the start of the proceedings, #BULawProf Sean Kealy was sworn in as a member of the NMCCA bar. Prof. Kealy’s Legislative Policy and Drafting Clinic students, including Emily Anthony (’26), C.J. Hill, MPH (’26), Jackson Gossett (’25), Andrew Katz (’26), Myra K. (’25), Sadie Keller (’25), and Marc Wolf (’26), drafted and filed an amicus brief on a statutory interpretation question related to the case. U.S. Navy JAG Corps
Great to see that the Court is still doing outreach arguments. The public, and the law schools, need to see the quality of the practice.
