Too often, abuse goes unnoticed or unaddressed, leaving athletes to suffer in silence while bystanders feel powerless. It's time for us to wake up and stand together as a community. PWR 360 is an upcoming organization dedicated to healing through holistic, innovative trauma-informed approached with the help of professionals and survivors. But our mission doesn't stop at healing—we are also deeply committed to prevention. According to Dr. Mountjoy, 46% of abused athletes are unaware of their abuse. Our awareness initiatives aim to empower individuals to recognize and confront their experiences, understand that what happened to them was not okay, and acknowledge the profound impact it has on their daily lives. Together, we can break the cycle of silence and build a supportive, informed, and resilient community. Sport England's latest 'Active Lives Children and Young People Survey' Report, published yesterday, shows that nationally 47.8% of children are meeting the Chief Medical Officers’ guidelines of taking part in an average of 60 minutes or more of sport and #physicalactivity a day. The data shows an improvement in #Cornwall, testament to our countywide focus on addressing inactivity, embedded in #health and #education via #partnership programmes such as #OpeningSchoolFacilities with Active Partnerships, #CornwallSchoolGames and #Time2MoveHolidayProgramme provision targeting our coastal, rural and deprivation inequalities and working with valued activity providers and community partners, including at events such as our annual PE conference, collectively influencing change at scale. #makingadifferencetogether

This post is not about doctors, asthma, or caregivers. It’s about the role of TRUST and COMMUNICATION in healing. The healthcare system is currently battling low recovery rates among patients with chronic conditions. It’s not a prescription problem. It’s not even a question of skills or capabilities. The answer is simple: most patients no longer trust the word of their caregivers. They trust the word of some holistic or DIY treatment influencer on social media because they feel connected to them. They feel like they belong to a community. I’ve worked with hospitals and nursing homes that saw the need to integrate play and community into their systems, and in less than 6 months, recovery rates improved drastically. Community builds belonging, and belonging builds trust. I’m currently offering support on community building for caregivers.
