Although it is a good effort to revive more authentic document containing informatio pertaining to distt.I have reviewed Gazettes of some districts and observed as under: 1.These documents are not uniform across districs.BoR should develop some templates in consultation with all deparenrs to capture comprehensive information 2.Gazettetteerr should not only capture information on Land and revenue but all sectors of the economy.Including Infrasture,Production and services sectors 3.Year wise public sector development expenditures and their impact on socio economic indicators 4.Data on Environment and Climage change should reflected highlighting efforts for disaster risk reduction. 4.Data underground water quantity and quality with future forecasting would provide better planning at district level. 5.Data on Multipal Indicators Cluster Suvery will be released soon which will provide a good source of information. 6.This document will a live one and be updated on yearly basis. 7.To prepare Gazetteer a committe be constituted and collaborations be developed with local university for collation of literature and data. 8.Old Gazetteers available in S&GSD achieve be consulted to develop uniform templates and related HR be trained.

The Bristish Rulers established an Imperial Gazetteer that remained the only objective document available to any district administrator or political agent for reference, the quality was diluted with the departure of the rulers. Today its remains the best source of information. Incase this is an initiative to revive the documentation, ensuring objectivity accuracy and quality of information is key to its value for future generations.

It is a compilation based on secondary sources which have not even been cited. Good description of history, culture and so on. There is no way forward for current problems, apparently no professional was involved.
