Important Industry Event - Safe Digging: Let's Make a Difference

October 2024 Wood Dog: Hexagram 29, Great Difficulty Time and space appear to be one holistic thing: everything that is, is the child of all that has been and all that will be is the consequence of what is. There is a sense in which the Book of Changes (or Yi) expresses this connectedness. Indeed there is a Hexagram for each of the sixty different months of the Hsia Calendar. With this in mind, on the 1st Wednesday of each month I teach a Yi Class via Zoom. The purpose is to offer my five-bob’s-worth on what it might mean if you happened to have cast this Hexagram and what you might do with it, as well as attempting to identify the timeless wisdom that lies under the lines and finally to address how these particular lines relate to this particular moment in time. In the classes this last objective moves towards something like forecasting. The Hexagram for this Wood Dog Month is Number 29, Jin, Great Difficulty, which as its name implies is about those times when we appear to be hemmed in in all directions. Ok fine, I gathered my courage and then decided to head straight down this hole as the need for diamonds is big, but then this type of vine trap caught me good. This place is more and more surprising everytime I find a new biome and some are more wonderful than others.
