Heads Up, ChatGPT Users! ⚠️ Two XSS Vulnerabilities Patched, But Security Awareness Remains Key Remember those scary ChatGPT vulnerabilities reported earlier this year? The ones allowing attackers to steal data, hijack accounts, and spread malware? Well, good news! OpenAI promptly addressed them, and the platform is now secure. What Happened: Two vulnerabilities existed: -Unsanitized File Citations: Malicious code could be injected into uploaded files and executed when clicked. -Static CSP Nonce: Attackers could bypass security measures and inject their own scripts. Chained together, these could have been disastrous. The Fix: OpenAI implemented stricter file sanitization and fixed the static CSP nonce issue. #chatgpt #security #xss #vulnerability #awareness #ai
