Progress Update 4 (My Project): Training Interns in UI/UX at ITI 🚀 We’re diving deeper into the world of User Experience (UX) design, focusing on applying Continuous Design Thinking to real-world problems. Here’s the latest from our training program: ▫️Problem Story: - We’re tackling a significant problem faced by knowledge less people, startups, and entrepreneurs. These individuals often want to create an e-platform but don’t know where to start or whom to approach. They seek a comprehensive solution rather than relying on freelancers who specialize in only one aspect of the job. This situation leads to confusion, misaligned expectations, and often, project failures. 🔺 Persona Creation: - What is a Persona? A persona is a fictional character created to represent a user type that might use a product in a similar way. It's a key tool in UX design that helps in understanding and addressing user needs. - Persona Development: Using data collected from Khaled, I developed a persona that represents entrepreneurs like him. This persona will guide the design process, ensuring that the solutions we create are aligned with the real needs of our target audience ✅ First Step is done: Talking to Real People: - The first step in addressing this problem was to speak with someone who fits this profile. I interviewed Khaled Elbana, a 29-year-old entrepreneur, to better understand his challenges and needs. His insights are helping shape our approach to solving this issue. #UXDesign #Training #UserExperience #ITICareer #UIUX #DesignThinking #Persona #StartupProblems #CareerGrowth #TechTraining #Internship

How to get your first internship or full time role in tech. It does not matter if you are a UI/UX Designer or a developer...do these and you will most likely get good results. Breaking into tech, whether as a UI/UX Designer or a developer, can seem challenging, but with the right approach, it’s absolutely doable. 1. Focus on Skill Development🎯: Even as a newcomer, it's crucial to constantly practice and compare your work to top professionals in your field. The goal is to close the gap between where you are and where they are. Dedicate at least three months to refining your skills. 2. Create a Strong Portfolio 💼: After working on your skills, select four of your best projects, case studies, or designs from that period. These should showcase your abilities effectively. Use these to build a well-organized portfolio that highlights your strengths. 3. Consistently Share Your Work 📢: Don't hesitate to share what you’re working on, along with the inspiration behind it. Regularly posting your work not only keeps you motivated but also helps others see your progress and potential. Stay consistent with this—it makes a difference. 4. Engage in Communities🤝: Join online communities related to your field and be active. Share your work, participate in discussions, and learn from others. Being part of a community provides support and opens up new opportunities. 5. Reach Out with Cold DMs 📩: Identify startups by searching for recent Y Combinator graduates (e.g., "YC ’23" for companies from 2023). Connect with founders, CTOs, or heads of departments relevant to your field. Once connected, send a personalized message expressing your interest in an internship role and include your portfolio. Following these steps consistently can significantly increase your chances of landing that first role. It’s all about persistence, practice, and putting yourself out there. 🚀 📢If you are interested in learning UI/UX Design or looking to get better in Design..Connect with me, I am building something for you!📢

A rarity in UXR - 4 Junior or Entry level positions. UXR has a problem with too few Junior-level positions. Most positions are asking for 3-5+ years of experience. How is someone entering the field from school or transitioning from another role supposed to start their careers?

Three days before starting my second internship, I received news that my UX mentor had to leave. Such is life in the startup world; things move fast, and investments might fall through. Suddenly finding myself as the sole UX designer at the company was daunting. Initially, having a mentor was crucial to me, but I quickly shifted my mindset to see this change as an opportunity for personal growth and learning. "What am I supposed to learn from this?" This mindset has helped me a lot in the past🚀💡 Recognizing the need to trust my abilities as a UX designer, I reflected on two years of dedicated study and the significant free time I invested in UX. I just needed the chance to prove to myself that I was capable, and this situation provided it. 📚💪 Now halfway into my internship, I've conducted 30 interviews and tests, both internally and externally. Drawing from my experiences as a project leader, I developed a project plan, organized UX research documents and workshops, and started the implementation of a design system. 📊✏️ This journey has undoubtedly tested and strengthened my confidence in my skills as a UX designer. 💼💪 How do you navigate through changes? Do you adopt a specific mindset to guide you? 🔄💭 #UXdesign #PersonalGrowth #Mindset

🚀 Exciting New Journey! 🚀 On the 19th of July, I officially joined Programmify as a UX Intern 🎉 For my first task, I had the opportunity to create a User Persona, User Journey Map, and a Summary of Key Insights for a mobile app focused on personal finance. This project challenged me to think deeply about user needs and behaviors, and it’s been incredibly rewarding to see the insights come together. Here’s a peek at my work on Figma: https://figma.fun/Vxi5NN Lessons Learned 💡: Empathy is Key: Understanding the user's needs and pain points is crucial in crafting meaningful experiences. The Power of Visualization: A well-designed journey map can reveal critical insights that might otherwise be overlooked. Iterate, Iterate, Iterate 🔁: The first solution is rarely the best; refining ideas is where the magic happens. I’m excited to continue learning and growing in this role, and I can’t wait to see what’s next! #UXDesign #Internship #PersonalFinance #Figma #PIP3

It is #Day13 with #TechiesonLinkedIn - My Journey into tech Well, yeah, a journey that started two years ago—my journey into UI/UX design. It all started when I was into front-end development. During my internship year at the university, I was an intern for front-end development. Then, on this faithful day, my supervisor asked me to convert some files and come back to see how it looked. That’s how it all started. I did it and He was amazed. He gave me another task to redesign a website—not just design, but to replicate the exact same website. I did it and again was like, "Wow, that’s good!" 🌟 And so, the journey began. I took a course to further understand it, realizing it wasn’t just about design. My journey into UI/UX hasn’t been all rosy, of course. There have been ups and downs, but it’s been intriguing and fun. I thank God for how far I’ve come. 🙏 I know I’m not where I want to be yet, but perseverance is key when you know the dreams and goals you have for the future. 💪 So yeah, this is day thirteen with #TechiesOnLinkedIn. What do you think about this design? It’s been a while since I created it—just an exploration, so I’d love to hear your thoughts! 💭🎨 #Day13 #tolconsistencychallenge #techiesonlinkedin
