We are pleased to announce that on July 24, 2024, Medika Natura Sdn Bhd, a leading biotechnology company in Malaysia, signed a Memorandum of Agreement with NS Home Shopping, a prominent distribution company in Korea specializing in TV home shopping, T-commerce, online shopping, catalog shopping, and mobile platforms. The signing ceremony took place at NS Home Shopping’s headquarters in Pangyo, South Korea, and garnered coverage from over 15 news outlets in South Korea. The English translation of one such article reads: “NS Home Shopping announced on the 25th that it signed a memorandum of agreement for joint development of health functional foods with 'Medika Natura', a Malaysian biotechnology company, at its headquarters in Pangyo on the 24th. Attendees at the signing ceremony included NS Home Shopping's CEO Jo Hang-mok, Kim Chang-hoon, Head of Sales Division, Kim Jin-tae, Director of Strategic Business Division, CEO Abdul Razak Mohd Isa from 'Medika Natura', COO Mustadza Muhamad, and officials from the Malaysian Embassy. Following this agreement, NS Home Shopping plans to collaborate with 'Medika Natura' to develop health functional foods using local Malaysian native plants as ingredients. They aim to secure approval from the Korean Food and Drug Administration for individual recognized raw materials and proceed with product planning and sales to distribute the products domestically. Jo Hang-mok, CEO of NS Home Shopping, stated, "Through collaboration with 'Medika Natura', we aim to introduce new functional ingredients to the expanding health functional food market, and commercialize them as health functional foods." He added, "In the future, NS Home Shopping will continue to enhance its competitiveness and capabilities in developing and commercializing individual recognized raw materials and new materials through quality management and specialized planning in the food and health functional food sectors." NS Home Shopping is the only company in the industry that operates a food safety research institute and has initiated the 'Development and Certification of Individual Recognized Raw Materials' business based on its product quality management and planning capabilities.
