Other conditions, such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, are less common but still have a large impact on people's lives. Poverty and socioeconomic disparities play a crucial role in developing and exacerbating mental health disorders in India. Limited resources, including access to quality healthcare, mental health services, and essential social support systems, significantly impact mental well-being. In India, the prevalence of mental health disorders has increased steadily in recent years. According to a 2023 study published in Cureus Journal, India is grappling with a high burden of mental health disorders, including depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders. 200 million Indians struggle with mental illness. The issue is made worse by the fact that eight out of ten do not receive therapy. We anticipate that this burden will double over the next ten years, with at least one member of every Indian home seeking to manage mental illness-(2024 survey updates ) Let's support our personal families & work zones by being kind and spreading the word .
