There are a lot of very large, state of the art, highly technical Construction vessels, Jack-ups being built and recently launched, you can build them in 2 -3 years, but the crew you need to man and operate them take 20 years + for the Senior roles onboard and 10+ for the average role, you cannot conjour them up from thin air and Training has been very low on the Companies lists of priorities in recent years as companies afraid they will pay for years of training and then the crew member leaves and goes to the highest rate available. Everybody has celebrated all the new Cable ships, Construction vessels, Jack Ups, but nobody has said where the crews will come from. It may not be the issue in this incident, wait for the investigation. But there will be more of these incidents over the coming years and the root cause will be lack of experience & training in the senior roles onboard.

RodRadar has been invited to participate in the prestigious Technology Approval Group (TAG) events, organized by Isle Utilities sharing our groundbreaking Live Dig Radar® technology with leading Water companies and Municipalities across North America. TAG, established in 2005 by Isle Utilities, stands as a beacon of global innovation in the Water industry, fostering collaboration between companies and innovators to advance technologies that revolutionize water management practices. At RodRadar, we're passionate about revolutionizing excavation practices to ensure safer and more efficient operations, and our Live Dig Radar technology embodies this commitment. By harnessing the power of advanced radar technology, our LDR Excavate™ systems provides real-time data to the excavator operator on-site to prevent utility strikes during excavation, mitigating risks and minimizing disruptions. Recent participation in TAG events enabled us to present our pioneering solution to a diverse audience of municipal and industrial TAG members across North American including Texas and California. These events followed previously successful Isle Utilities TAG events in Australia and Europe. We are excited to share our vision for the future of excavation safety and demonstrate how Live Dig Radar can revolutionize utility infrastructure projects. Stay tuned for updates as we continue to showcase our technology and engage with industry leaders to chart a course towards safer, more sustainable excavation practices. Together, we can build a brighter future for water management worldwide. https://lnkd.in/dSpPCen3 #isleutilities #TAGEvent #Innovation #ExcavationSafety #utilities #LiveDigRadar

AASHTOWare PermitRoute powered by ProMiles is an automated oversize overweight permitting and routing system that is designed specifically to the needs of state and local agencies. The ability for agencies to self-issue OS/OW permits through an automated system is further enhanced when integrated with load rating software such as AASHTOWare Bridge Rating, which increases accuracy and efficiency when determining if vehicles/loads may safely cross structures without inducing unnecessary weight-related damage to a structure. Learn more about how your agency can benefit from AASHTOWare PermitRoute powered by ProMiles at https://hubs.la/Q02L6v990. #AASHTOWare #permittingandrouting #transportationsolutions

Cranemaster at Offshore Energy 2024: Protecting Cranes and Vessels with Advanced Shock Absorbers and Heave Compensation Systems. At #OEEC 2024, our Business Development Manager, Kristian Helland, joined Stefann Perrigot from Power and Energy Solutions (PES Wind) to discuss how Cranemaster’s innovative solutions enhance safety and efficiency in offshore lifting operations. 🎥 In this short interview, Kristian highlights our two key technologies enhancing safety and efficiency in the offshore construction industry: ✅ Shock Absorbers Mitigating Pile Run Risks: Sudden free falls during Monopile hammering, known as "pile runs," can generate significant snap loads, posing risks to both personnel and equipment. Cranemaster's shock absorbers effectively absorb these shock loads, protecting cranes and rigging from potential damage. ✅ Heave Compensators Minimizes vertical motion and dynamic loads during offshore lifting operations, enabling smooth, controlled lifts, enhancing safety, and extending weather windows for increased vessel operability. These innovations are part of our commitment to advancing safety and performance in offshore lifting. Want to learn more about how Cranemaster can enhance your offshore operations?
