It is a pleasure to represent our Dutch services of Bureau Veritas Benelux. The first large wind farms in the Netherlands have been certified by Bureau Veritas Group (700MW) Now we work on the OSS’s currently to bring the wind power to shore. For the Netherlands we support with over 650 persons daily the whole value chain. We support the important missions of wind & water works. Finland wants to have a great expansion of their offshore wind production in the economic exclusive zone. On 23 May a stake holder meeting online is organised to distribute the rights of building the upcoming wind farms. The Dutch way includes an ecological mindful approach that includes system integration. Currently more marine energy sources in the Netherlands are explored. I.e. floating Solar, wave and tidal energy. As the Netherlands let us export the knowledge to ensure sustainable, ecological low impact and optimised electricity and energy distribution in Finland. On top, let us also export design for decommissioning for the future generation to come. Circularity in the materials used, especially the blades. 🌍 Exciting times in the Oil & Gas sector! Aker BP has officially commenced oil production at the Tyrving field in the Alvheim area offshore Norway. This marks not just a milestone for Aker BP, holding a 61.3% stake, but also for partners Petoro AS and PGNiG Upstream Norway AS. 🛢️ Throughout my three decades in the industry, I've witnessed firsthand the transformation towards more sustainable and efficient operations. The Tyrving field, with its three wells and advanced subsea systems, is a brilliant example of this evolution. It's designed not only to enhance production capacity but to do so with a strikingly low environmental impact, boasting an impressive 0.3 kg of CO2 emissions per barrel. In my early years, balancing cost and emissions was a considerable challenge. Projects like Tyrving are testimonies to how far technology has brought us. 🌍 Exciting News from Germany! completion of drilling for the 30 MW geothermal heating project in Polling, Bavaria! 🚀 The successful completion of drilling for the geothermal heating project in Polling, Bavaria Led by Erdwärme Inn GmbH & Co., is a major milestone to deliver 30 MW of thermal energy to support local greenhouses and surrounding towns like Polling, Tüßling, and Mühldorf am Inn. This marks a significant step toward sustainable energy & a greener future! 🌱 🔧 Drilling began in March 2024, and after months of hard work, the first well has reached a depth of 2,700 meters (TVD). The project has garnered the attention and support of state officials, further solidifying geothermal energy as a key component in ensuring energy security for Bavaria. New, commercial oil and gas discovery in the Gjøa area in the North Sea – yet another testament to our consistent and successful exploration strategy, targeting high value barrels close to existing infrastructure! 😀 👍 With estimated gross recoverable resources of between 18-39 million barrels of oil equivalent (mmboe), Cerisa is the fourth discovery in a row, with a total of up to 110 mmboe recoverable resources, close to the partly electrified Vår Energi operated Gjøa platform. The discovery adds to an already impressive exploration track record. Over the past five years, Vår Energi has had a discovery rate of over 50 percent, with finding costs of less than USD 1 per barrel post tax. THIS JUST IN: 📢 Transocean is expected to kick off #drilling activities in the #BlackSea next year, after one of its #semisubmersible #rigs, which was hired for work on a #gas project #offshore #Romania, arrived in #Constanta. The #rig departed from Cartagena, Spain at the end of October 2024 and passed under the Bosporus Strait bridges, which required the lay-down of the derrick.
