While I was scrolling various social media today, I saw a notice of a controlled burn this weekend in a town about 90 minutes away. It made me think: how often do we think about checking the weather, or more specifically, the air quality predicted for when and where we will be traveling? Years ago, before I knew better, I flew to a place in California, northeast of SF, for a weekend conference. Thinking "California" but not thinking I should check the weather forecast, I packed for sunny and warm days. But this was in February, and I didn't know, at the time, that anywhere in California, especially by the beach, could get to 32*F! Evidently, it can. Lesson learned. So I encourage you all, whether vacationing stateside or across the pond, on a cruise or at an All-Inclusive, or simply holing up in a hotel, make sure you know what the weather is like where your trip is bound. Air quality is another thing to be prepared for. While the Greater Phoenix Area here in Arizona does not have the pollution issues that say, India or China have, we do have varying degrees of poor air quality alerts. And if you are already breathing compromised, these are good things to know ahead of time. All that to say, Be Prepared! #travel #beprepared #airquality #forecast #traveladventures #controlledburn

Here are three ways private jet travel is better for your health: 1. Reduced Exposure to Illness Private jets minimize contact with large groups of people, reducing the risk of exposure to contagious illnesses. 2. Enhanced Comfort and Reduced Stress Private jets provide a more comfortable and personalized travel experience. With more space, luxurious seating, and the ability to customize the environment (e.g., temperature, noise levels), passengers can relax more easily. 3. Better Air Quality Private jets often have superior air filtration systems compared to commercial aircraft. The air quality on private jets is typically better, with more frequent air circulation and advanced filtration systems that reduce the presence of pathogens and allergens. Overall, the personalized, less crowded, and more comfortable environment of private jet travel can significantly contribute to better health and well-being during and after the journey. Heading over the hills and through the woods for the holidays? We’ve got you covered with our Road Trip Travel Tips! Engage in the following practical risk mitigation activities to ensure your comfort and safety on the road: ◼︎ Fill Up Your Car with Gasoline Unexpected traffic, cold weather, and travel delays can all be managed more easily if you aren’t worried about your fuel gauge being stuck on E. Fill up before you go, and once you are on the road, stop angling your head so it still looks like you have a quarter tank and stop for a quick fill-up - you will still make great time! ◼︎ Pump Up Your Tires Ensure your car tires are safe for the road and pumped to the appropriate PSI, especially if you are traveling longer distances and/or through rougher terrain and snow. ◼︎ Top Off Your Fluids Check your engine oil, brake fluid, transmission fluid, coolant, power steering, and windshield washer fluid. ◼︎ Light Up Your Lights Light up your low beams, high beams, brake lights, rear tail lights and turn signals to make sure everything is working properly. If your warning lights are lighting up, make sure to address this before you hit the road. ◼︎ Watch your Windshield Wipers Bad windshield wipers are the worst when you are going through bad weather. Reduced visibility is is frustrating and dangerous, so watch for scratching, skipping, and streaking . . . and, of course, a dirty windshield. Whether your plans involve a travel adventure or a holiday hang at home, we’ve got you covered from start to finish - lsds.com 𝐋𝐒𝐃𝐒® - Where Preparedness Meets Peace of Mind. #RiskMitigation #safety #LSDS
