Why finance freshers are struggling to find jobs 😓 As a finance student , the excitement of entering the professional world can quickly turn into frustration. Despite having a strong academic foundation, many freshers in finance face significant hurdles in securing job opportunities. It's time for companies to rethink their hiring strategies and invest in fresh talent. Freshers bring new perspectives, energy, and the willingness to learn. Companies that nurture and develop young talent are ultimately investing in the future of the industry. Here are some major challenges that are contributing to this issue: Experience Paradox: Most companies prefer candidates with prior experience, even for entry-level roles. This creates a paradox where freshers are expected to have work experience but aren't given the chance to gain any. Limited Openings for Freshers: The finance sector has a limited number of roles specifically designed for fresh graduates. Many job openings require advanced skills, certifications, or specific experience, which freshers lack. Skill Gap: While finance programs equip students with theoretical knowledge, there is often a gap between what is taught and the practical skills required by companies. Employers look for candidates proficient in financial modeling, data analysis, and industry-specific software, which might not be fully covered in academia. Intense Competition: The finance industry is highly competitive, with a large pool of graduates applying for a small number of positions. This makes it harder for freshers to stand out unless they have unique qualifications or internship experience. Networking Barriers: Many finance jobs are filled through referrals or internal hiring networks. Freshers, who are still building their professional connections, may find it difficult to tap into these opportunities. Lack of Guidance and Mentorship: Many fresh graduates struggle to navigate the job search process effectively due to a lack of guidance. Without proper mentorship or career counseling, they may miss out on valuable opportunities and career strategies. #finance #financejobs #financeindustry #hiring #companies

Completely relate to this. I’ve been searching for a finance role for over 3 months now and it's been quite challenging. It's tough when you're passionate about starting your career but opportunities are hard to find. Staying persistent and learning from each experience is what I’m focusing on. Hoping better opportunities come soon.

It’s really tough for finance freshers right now. Even with great academic records, many are finding it hard to get jobs. It’s super frustrating when you’re ready to kickstart your career. Fresh talent brings new ideas, energy, and a big willingness to learn. Let’s give freshers the chances they deserve!

It's so hurting that after completing the higher education and still struggling for getting a job. It shows like there is no value of your education all what matters is only experience. But if you can't give any opportunity or any chance to fresher how can he earn the experience. That's the dark reality in current condition. Day by day the burden increase and then people go for the off field jobs just to survive. Life is going hard day by day and for a finance student it's going absolutely hard.

Well said. The problem is, the Business doesn't have enough resources to allocate and train a fresher and employ them. It's a fast paced business world, operating on a thin margin with heavy competition. Freshers can approach for an Internship cum Training course with me on Trade Finance. They can get to learn from the basics of Banking and Trade finance including the AML CFT procedures, along with the hands on knowledge on the most demanding Trade finance product; the LC Document checker.

Im a recent Financial Management graduate and just like you I have this struggle in finding jobs, walk-in or online. The main reason is because Im a fresh graduate, with no experience yet, particularly in finance. Plus, some organization runs with what we called “backer” which is quite been existing since then up until now. No matter how academically strong you are, it’s useless because of that bullshit “backer”!!!

I think the main reason is that companies nowadays hire CA ,ACCA rather than BS accounting and finance or MBA student. I think one should do accounting and finance along with a certification (CFA,ACCA,CA) to stand out in market. Thats just my opinion

I agree with you Vartika Ahuja Nowadays companies don't want to hire freshers. Especially if you have done your MBA in finance and are looking forward to building your career in finance. There are very few opportunities that are available and intense competition are there. however if you crack the interview somehow companies will pay you chillar, in which you can't survive in the cities like Delhi Noida .
