Join us today, Monday, May 20, for this VBF Facebook Live with Dr. Linda and Dr. Roy G. Geronemus, at 5:30 PM ET / 2:30 PM PT. It's the VBF International Month of Awareness for all VBARS (vascular birthmarks, anomalies, and/or related syndromes) and the topic to kick off the discussion is "New Laser Protocols and New Laser Devices for Treating Vascular Birthmarks". See you there! #VBFFacebookLive #vascularbirthmarksawareness #complexmalformations #complexperipheralvascularmalformations

The best part about our free JCWWP heart screening last week was that the life-saving knowledge families received became their power of knowing. Something we wished we knew about Justin. Every screening, we find kids at risk with potential abnormalities. Last week was no exception! We performed Electrocardiograms (ECG or EKG) to record the heart's electrical activity using this QT Medical next-generation equipment. ECGs have been shown to detect a majority of heart conditions more effectively than physical and health history alone. Echocardiograms (ECHO) were also performed by capturing a live picture of the heart. https://lnkd.in/gja4EBaX

Just a quick reminder for the upcoming webinar on device therapy in heart failure and the barriers for implementation of guideline-recommended treatments. This Tuesday evening at 18:00 (CET) / (19:00 Athens time). I believe it is going to be an excellent opportunity to discuss factors that may hinder patient access to potentially life-prolonging or QoL-improving therapies. https://lnkd.in/dY9eDUh6

It’s time to act! A recent correspondence published in Resuscitation by Johannes Wittig et al*, highlights the significant challenge and bias of unmeasured ventilation quality within the clinical practice. The solution? Ventilation feedback devices (VFD). 💨 🫀 Measuring ventilation quality isn't optional—it's essential and it must become systematic in future cardiac arrest studies. Without them, we're flying blind in the fight to save lives, read more: https://lnkd.in/eCr3jfet #cardiacarrest #research #ventilationfeedbackdevices #VFD --- Sources : Johannes Wittig, Kristian Krogh, Simon Orlob, Bo Løfgren, Kasper G. Do you accept to drive blindly without a speedometer ? Of course not !!! Why would you accept to be blind when it comes to ventilation in cardiac arrest !? Our Ventilation Feedback Devices (VFD) help you better ventilate #chooseEM

Check our new paper (https://rb.gy/vwn65y) on initial experiences of #VTablation in patients with structural heart disease using Affera, Inc. system just published in #Europace. The system allows rapid HD mapping and the unique catheter tip design (#Sphere9) with a large footprint enables creation of large lesion using both radiofrequency and #pulsedfield (PF). The ablation is highly effective using both energies and the results are good for short-term follow-up. When PF is used in epicardial space, coronary spasms are common, but resolve after intracoronary nitrates administration. On the other hand, no phrenic nerve palsy was observed despite PF ablation in close vicinity to it. Still, so much to learn about the role of PF in treating of VTs. But I am excited to be part of this..... @Metronic #EPEEPS

2024 European Heart Rhythm Association/Heart Rhythm Society [...] consensus statement on catheter [...] ablation of #atrialfibrillation: "in the recent ADVENT trial, 607 patients with drug-refractory paroxysmal AF were randomized either to PFA [...] or to thermal ablation (either CF-sensing RF or cryoballoon ablation). After a 12-month follow-up, PFA was shown to be non-inferior to thermal ablation in respect to efficacy (composite of acute procedural and chronic success) and safety (device-related and procedure-related serious adverse events)". https://lnkd.in/e2pHVcUz

How would you manage this patient ? 76 y.o gentleman with SAVR and CABG( Saphenous vein to RCA ) 10 year ago. Come to our emergency with chest pain and syncope, whith the diagnosis of NSTEMI. Echo showing a LV/Ao (mean gradient of 62 mmHg ,Peak of 96mmHg) , LVEF=40%, anterolateral hypokinesia. -CKD : stage 2 -COPD:mild/smoker This is the angiogram : What is your opinion? PCI + TAVR x CABG+ SAVR???????? See this case discussion at: https://lnkd.in/d52QEdu5
