I am pleased to share that my participation in the Global Citizen program, provided by Universitas 21 and Common Purpose, has come to an end, leaving me with positive emotions and excitement for future collaborations. Following the first two weeks of the program, during which I focused on number 3 and 4 of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, namely, Good Health and Well-Being and Quality Education, I dedicated my final week in the program exploring the targets for collaboration and strengthening partnerships outlined in #SDG17’s plan. My takeaway form this week is that it seems that we are yet to discover the perfect recipe for building successful and long-lasting partnerships. However, I strongly believe that the way forward is through strengthening our cultural awareness, demonstrating unconditional respect for humans and leading with a sense of purpose and moral responsibility. I am going to continue working towards advancing the goals that I have committed to, with a reinforced interest specifically in SDG 3 - Good Health and Well-Being, and SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals. This program has been an incredible opportunity for meeting many inspiring people during these past few weeks, whose invaluable insight and lessons from life have left me with more questions than answers. I am looking forward to the future, and I am hopeful that we would cross paths soon again. #SDG3 #SDG4 #SDG17 #SustainableDevelopmentGoals #CommonPurpose #Universitas21 #GlobalCitizen

Day 2 of the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) Conference on Global Learning on Friday has me reflecting on these important topics: the differences between international and global, aligning DEIB with global, connecting local and global, and assessing global learning. I'm also thinking about ways to use global learning to give students more hands-on experience to solve real-world problems so they can acquire in-demand skills employees prefer. I appreciated hearing the UN Sustainable Development Goals mentioned several times in sessions throughout the day. I also enjoyed lunch with Jon Rubin, the founding father of Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), and about 20 other COILers. My key takeaway from Day 2 is that I must connect local lived experiences to global contexts and vice versa to make certain issues more relevant to students. The SDGs are one way to do this to help prepare students for the world. #aacuglobal #sdgs #globalgoals #globallearning

🎓 Breaking New Ground: My path to IISMA success 🎓 Self-doubt is the anchor that keeps our ships from sailing: My journey to securing the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards scholarship by Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Ministry of Education and Culture Republic of Indonesia) was not just about academic excellence, it was about overcoming internal battles with self-doubt and breaking through my own limits. The application process was tough, requiring exceptional academic performance, outstanding organizational involvement, and standout essays. Every step felt like a huge challenge, and my inner voice constantly whispered that I wasn't good enough. For a week before applying, I was filled with self-doubt, wondering, "What if I fail? What if I disappoint them again?" But then, I remembered the powerful saying, “If you are not willing to risk the unusual, you will have to settle for the ordinary,” and I didn’t want to settle for the ordinary. “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” With that in mind, I sifted my thinking to, "What if I miss the opportunity meant for me? What if I am actually capable?" Focusing on the fear of missing opportunities made me more confident to give it a shot. I began by seeking guidance from mentors, prepping for the TOEIC, and immersing myself in the application process. Late nights were spent perfecting essays and rehearsing interviews. I realized that the key to overcoming this internal barrier was persistence and the willingness to embrace discomfort and uncertainty as part of the growth process. When the acceptance letter finally arrived, declaring my success as part of IISMA 2024 to the National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism in Taiwan, it was a moment of triumph that validated all the hard work and perseverance. It was not just an academic achievement but a testament to my ability to conquer self-doubt and break new ground. By confronting and overcoming self-doubt, we can unlock opportunities that lead to personal and academic growth and ultimately sail towards new horizons of achievement. Lastly, I’d like to thanks to Kak Khafifulloh Al Faqih Zam Zammi for the awesome personal branding session. I am excited for more of our insightful mentoring sessions ahead! 🌟🎓 #ToInclusivityAndBeyond #IISMA2024 #StudyAbroad #PersonalBranding

This convergence of frontline youth development advocates, experts, professionals, and stakeholders provided a unique opportunity to engage with global leaders in the youth development industry which inspired and motivated me. Title:-🌎 Global Education 🌎 📝Global learning means people from different cultures, backgrounds, and places seeking knowledge and understanding together. UNESCO wants education to help each generation live peacefully through their own efforts. 📝In today's world, students need to be good at working with others from diverse backgrounds and dealing with unexpected situations, which are common in life and work. That's why learning about different cultures and perspectives, known as global learning, is seen as important in education. 🌎 Studying global education helps students broaden their understanding of the world by looking into how they see things and how they're connected to others.
