Sometimes you have a very clear idea in your head of what you want to do, in my case was to have multiple video interviews at Electronica, highlighting trends in the industry, and how can logistic firms support the sector the best.
However, creating video content remains challenging since many people are uncomfortable with being recorded (which I completely understand). Here a special thanks to the Elmos team for being such good sports and agreeing to a mini-interview!
Since a video wasn’t feasible, here’s a photo-bombed selfie 🤪 and a summary of my key learnings from Electronica 2024:
🌏 > The production of semiconductor components remains a global effort, with 80% manufactured in Taiwan. Despite concerns over tariffs, the ability to produce the necessary quantities at high quality often outweighs geopolitical tensions.
🚗 > The electrification of the automotive industry is a key driver of demand, with a focus on design and R&D to deliver highest standards while reducing the number of parts needed.
📈 >South America is emerging as one of the markets with the highest growth potential.
🛒 >Following COVID-induced supply shortages, manufacturers and distributors have significantly increased production and stock levels over the past two years, positioning themselves for a resurgence in demand to pre-pandemic levels.
🚀 >Fast logistics remains a critical issue, particularly for distributors. Ensuring “just-in-time” delivery significantly impacts stock management—one of the industry's major challenges.
