I'm excited for today and tomorrow -- It's our work wedding! As we embark on our 3rd Annual Meeting, here are some reflections: • 17 of 21 investments were originally referred by a founder in The 81 Collection • Time stands still when we are with founders. We have had 5,384 emails, calls, and sessions with our founders, and I promise these weren’t forced! • The best part of 81 has been the new relationships that have formed outside of 81, but because of 81. Create more than you capture. • Our best-performing investment was initially disliked by many – The goal is to be non-consensus and right • We have learned more from our mistakes than our wins • The only way to prevent erosion in decision-making is to systematize Difficult roads lead to beautiful destinations. It’s early, but our founders’ perseverance is driving Fund I's outperformance. 👀 We're all set to see 150 of the best builders and investors in the 81. See ya soon!

CONNECTING WITH FAITH-DRIVEN INVESTORS (3rd of 8 posts on the challenges we face) Feeling isolated in the real estate industry is more common than you might think. "Finding and Connecting with Other Like-Minded People" was the #1 challenge that Faith-Driven real estate investors identified in a recent poll. David, an experienced investor, often felt disconnected from his peers who didn’t share his faith-driven values. His church friends who weren’t investors didn’t understand his struggles. He longed for a community of folks who knew what he was talking about, who had experienced similar situations. After joining a faith-based real estate meetup group, David found the support and connection he had been seeking. The group provided a platform for networking, sharing experiences, and growing together in faith and business. David was able to tap into the knowledge, wisdom, and support of these other Faith-Driven investors. With their encouragement and peer mentoring, David began to see his real estate business expand, increasing the income he was achieving through it. Earlier this week, I was blessed by several other Christ-following real estate investors on a Zoom call. We connected and talked deeply about real estate investing as people of faith. Just a couple of hours of engagement with people who understood each other was rewarding. "Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another." - Proverbs 27:17 I enjoy collaborating with Faith-Driven real estate investors who value community and connection. Together, we create strong, supportive networks that support and uplift one another in our faith and business journeys. Don’t chase butterflies. Build your garden, and the butterflies will come.🌱 Saw this gem from Aideen Duggan CertRP earlier and it really struck a chord. It captures so much of what I’ve learned while building FundMyPitch. Over the past year, I’ve focused on laying solid foundations within both the #founder and #investor communities, staying dedicated to creating something valuable rather than chasing quick wins. Early on, I often faced resistance, particularly from certain corners of the investor community, hearing things like... "I don’t need more deal flow." "I believe in more traditional methods" "I don’t agree with founders paying a success fee." Interestingly, many of these objections came from advisors or syndicate leads who themselves charge success fees or fees to their members. Yet, by staying focused on my mission and building authentically, we’ve attracted interest from those who truly believe in supporting early-stage companies. So, thanks to Aideen for the inspiration – this is a reminder to keep nurturing your garden. When you stay true to your purpose, the right people will come.
