I understand that juggling with work and life can be exhausting sometimes. It's a universal experience - we all face responsibilities and stress. Life isn't always smooth, it's like a roller coaster with ups and downs. But here's the key : knowing how to restart like a pro. Taking time for yourself is crucial. 🌿 GlowOn Wellness Story: The Power of Consistency in Self-Care 🌿 One of the most common questions I get from friends and people in general is: "How do you make time for self-care with such a busy schedule?" As a parent, business owner, and content creator, I know it can be hard to prioritize wellness when life gets hectic. But over the years, I've learned that it's not about finding extra time—it's about creating small, consistent rituals that fit into my daily routine. Research shows that self-care doesn’t need to be a grand, time-consuming task to be effective. A study by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) found that small, daily self-care practices, like a few minutes of mindful breathing or incorporating a nutritious meal, can reduce stress and improve both mental and physical health over time. 📚 For me, it’s a simple routine that includes a cup of turmeric tea with black pepper (for its anti-inflammatory properties) and a quiet moment in the garden, breathing in the fresh air. 🌱 I’ve found that by making these moments a non-negotiable part of my day, I’m better able to manage stress and stay grounded in my personal and professional life. ⚖ The key to keeping your balance, is knowing when you have lost it... 🌴 Tree Pose is a beautiful balancing pose but can seem daunting at first, particularly if we struggle with balance. However, there are many interpretations and expressions of this pose, so give it a go! 👍🏾 Let's start. 🧘🏾♀️ Choose a stationary point in front of you to focus on. This can help with maintaining balance. 🧘🏾♀️ Activate your core muscles to help stabilize your body. 🧘🏾♀️ If you're new to the pose or have difficulty balancing, place a hand on a wall or chair for support. 🧘🏾♀️ You can also do this seated. 🧘🏾♂️ Push down on your standing leg and spread the toes of your foot into the ground, pushing all four corners of your foot into the earth to stabilize. 🧘🏾♂️ Begin to lift your other foot off the ground. You will wobble, that's great, embrace it. 🧘🏾♂️ Place that foot against the opposite ankle, calf or thigh. None of these options are better than the other, just different. 🧘🏾♂️ Apply equal pressure, pushing your foot against your thigh, calf or ankle whilst pushing your thigh, calf or ankle, against your foot. 🧘🏾♂️ Maintain steady and deep breaths throughout the pose to help with balance and relaxation.
