Our latest article is a summary of the Comité Social et Économique (CSE) election process.
It includes six steps that must be taken by employers, beginning with informing employees and trade unions of the upcoming elections.
The following steps involve:
- drawing up a pre-election agreement and inviting the main unions to negotiate and sign it,
- creating the electoral list and voting conditions,
- organising the first and second voting rounds, keeping in mind that the first round is reserved for union-backed candidates, and
- announcing the results internally and externally.
CSE elections must be held every four years, with employees or trade union members able to make a formal request should the employer fail to organise them at the correct time.
