🌟 Another year of colourful and joyful celebrations for Diwali here at Vector! Last week, we came together, to celebrate the Festival of Lights. Although the ancient festival has different meanings for different people and different cultures, it shares the common underlying theme of the victory of good over evil, denoted by the victory of light over darkness. Stories were shared, hands were henna’d and sari draping lessons were shown - complete with a little competition. For many of us, it was quite the surprise to learn that there are around 108 ways to wear a sari! We were lucky enough to finish the celebrations sharing traditional food together. 🙌 Big thanks to everyone who helped to organise this event and to everyone who came along to be a part of it. Like all good festivals – better together! #Diwali #CulturalCelebration #BetterTogether Anitha N. Teina Teariki Mana Helena Chan Shriji M Kashmira More Harsha Kardile Jenny Wood Manisha Kumar

𝙒𝙝𝙮 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙚 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙢𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙙𝙖𝙮𝙨? This year, we celebrated Diwali with joy and togetherness, lighting up our homes and hearts. But as the festivities ended, a thought stayed with me: 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼 𝘄𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝘀𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝘀𝗼 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸, 𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗶? 𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘥𝘢𝘺𝘴? 𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘥𝘢𝘺? I’ve been thinking about this a lot. We’ve created traditions that we pass down through generations, but maybe it’s time to pass on something new as well. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝘄𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝗽𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗶𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗶 𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿? Imagine a world where gratitude, kindness, and humility are practised daily—not just on special occasions. Celebrating each day with this mindset could bring lasting brightness, not just for us but for everyone around us. 𝗗𝗶𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗶 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝘀 𝘂𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿. 🪔✨ Celebrate Diwali Illuminate the Festival of Lights Safely! ✨🪔 As we prepare to bask in the warm glow of Diwali, the Festival of Lights, Diwali is a time of joy, togetherness, and the vibrant brilliance of illuminated homes. While we revel in this beautiful tradition, let's also remember the importance of safety. 🕯️ 1. Keep Fire Extinguishers Handy: In case of any emergency, having a fire extinguisher nearby can be a lifesaver. Check its expiry date and functionality. 2. 💨 Ventilation: Ensure good ventilation when lighting diyas or incense. Proper airflow reduces the risk of indoor air pollution. 3. 🎆 Mindful Firecracker Use: If you choose to burst fireworks, follow local guidelines and only use them in designated areas. Always keep a safe distance from others and never ignite crackers indoors. safety is our priority. We're here to remind you that celebrating Diwali can be both dazzling and safe. Let the light of Diwali fill your heart with joy, and let's illuminate our lives responsibly. ✨ #LUCKILY NO CASUALTIES.... #Diwali #SafetyPrecautions

Today, as we celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights - a festival we all know for its radiant lamps and shimmering lights - I invite you to reflect on the light within each of us and the boundless promise of new beginnings we all carry with us. Diwali has, for centuries, symbolized the triumph of light over darkness, hope over despair, and kindness over malice. But it’s not just about lighting lamps; it’s also about illuminating our lives with a commitment to bring warmth, joy, and purpose to every corner of our shared world. This Diwali, let’s consider what it means to bring light and joy - not as an abstract ideal, but as a conscious practice that touches every person and space we encounter. In a world that’s increasingly complex and sometimes isolating, a collective promise to light the way forward feels more vital than ever. Each of us holds sources of light - whether rooted in our values, our resilience, our humility, our curiosity, or our compassion. When we choose to channel this light, extending kindness where it’s least expected, nurturing relationships that might otherwise drift, we transform not only our lives but also brighten the world around us. Diwali’s essence lies in a simple yet powerful idea: one lamp can ignite many, and each small flame defies the darkness. 🙂 A very happy and joyous Diwali to each and everyone of you 🕯️ 🪔 🎇 #Diwali, #FestivalOfLights, #NewBeginnings, #Resilience, #Connection, #PersonalGrowth, #Community #ManuSharma #ManuOttawa

Happy Diwali to all who celebrate! Growing up in an Indian household, this festival always held a special magic for me – the warm glow of diyas throughout our home, the excitement in the air, and family gatherings that seemed to make everything brighter. The Festival of Lights has always been more than just celebration for me. Its core message – that light prevails over darkness – deeply resonates with both my heritage and professional journey. Those childhood Diwalis taught me about #resilience long before I understood the word. As I reflect today, I'm struck by how this ancient wisdom applies to our modern day challenges. We've all faced our moments of darkness – whether navigating market uncertainties, or dealing with personal adversity. But like the countless diyas we light during Diwali, each obstacle we overcome adds to our inner strength. I'm a firm believer of this concept, today & everyday. To my fellow professionals celebrating today: may your homes be filled with light and your hearts with hope. And to everyone: here's to finding that inner light that guides us through challenges.

𝐂𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐄𝐃 𝐆𝐈𝐅𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐉𝐄𝐂𝐓 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐆𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 Fortunately now, there are several celebrations spread across the year that help my business to sustain and grow. The festivals #Dassehra and #Diwali see the peaks of my business transactions. Several customers approach us at the last minute and with very demanding customisation needs. We have to apply the best of project management and lean manufacturing principles to tide through this surge of demand and deliver on time. *_ Stacking inventory in advance: dry fruits, other eatables, packaging material *_ Ramping up additional commercial space... to stack the components safely *_ Ramping up with helping hands... not just anyone can do a quality job *_ Ploughing in adequate financial capital *_ Follow up for timely payments to keep the cashflow going *_ Multi-tasking with different corporate requirements at the same time. *_ Keeping cool when sometimes the buyers' demands are fluctuating several times or unreasonable (give it tomorrow, do not charge for shipping etc.) *_ Reserving the porters, transporters The payment team may eventually go on a holiday for Diwali... but we always say YES even if we need to deliver quality gifts at break-neck speed during our festival time. Diwali is one of the biggest and most widely celebrated festivals in India, with traditions that span the globe. It’s a time marked by community gatherings and togetherness.
