Are you planning a new project where you’ll be digging up the ground? Whether you're a contractor, utility worker or homeowner, safe digging is essential to protect the underground infrastructure, avoid costly repairs, and most importantly, keep everyone safe. To check what’s lying below the ground, all you need to do is get the underground plans from beforeUdig. They work with multiple infrastructure providers (gas, electricity, fibre and water) to bring all the relevant information together in one place, so you can be sure that there’s no utility cables or pipes in your project area. So whether it’s for your own project, or you’re chatting to someone who’s planning on doing some digging, make sure everyone’s aware of beforeUdig and the responsibility for checking where the pipes are. Let's work together to keep everybody safe when digging. ➡ Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/g9nweaUX #safediggingmonth #safedigging #collaboration #beforeudig

Some corporate organizations work like the government road construction authority. They will first construct the road, then dig again to lay water pipelines and construct the road again. Then dig once again to lay the gas pipelines and construct the road again. Then dig again to lay communication lines and will construct the road one more time! dig...construct...dig...construct....dig...construct.....an endless saga! P.S.: The process can be reversed by laying the communication line, water pipeline, and gas pipelines first and then building good quality roads. It can save all three: time, labour, and money! 🙂

Slow, confusing, awkward mobilization processes are a common problem... ...because there's a zillion moving parts involved in a large construction project. So, logically speaking, if you REDUCE the 'moving parts' you'll enjoy a more efficient and streamlined project overall. Helical pier foundations require significantly LESS equipment, personnel, and raw materials than other solutions. That means your foundation can be mobilized and installed faster (and easier). Which means you can start building sooner and be done quicker. It's the simple equation that makes us love helical piers... LESS equals MORE 💪 #renewableenergy #oilandgas #energyindustry #engineers #projectmanagers

🚧 Jasper Mission: Complete! On the Move to the Next One 🚧 With the recent wildfires that have impacted communities in Alberta and BC, Rising Edge is proud to be a part of the solution on a crucial wildfire mitigation project in Jasper, Alberta. This initiative focuses on enhancing the safety and reliability of the local power infrastructure by placing electrical cables underground, reducing the risk of wildfires impacted by overhead lines. Our team trenched over 2.5 km of underground cabling (using one of our prized equipment, the plow, in the photos), navigating a route that mixes new alignments along the highway and existing underground pathways. The project spans from the Water Treatment Plant to a local bridge and continues from the Athabasca River to a nearby substation. We’re helping to power safer communities and build stronger infrastructure. ✅We recently completed an underground utility survey for a proposed 24-inch pipeline project, reaching depths up to 8 meters. Notable findings include 80% utility reflection at 5 meters and 68% between 5 and 8 meters, achieving 89% accuracy even at the deepest levels. This crucial survey was essential for precise planning of a thrust boring cross-section under the expressway, ensuring zero traffic disruption and preventing environmental hazards. Our detailed mapping included gas, fiber optic cables, electrical lines, and water pipelines—vital information for safer project execution. Ready to make your next project efficient and precise? Having a great LinkedIn network of awesome professionals from all over the world I would like to invite for a discussion on this interesting topic - pipeline leak detection systems evolution, what standards are in your country on this topic, if there are suppliers of various methods of leak detection systems I would like also to invite for the discussion. Please, feel free to comment under this post and/or contact me by message. "Buried underground, the pipeline system tends to get less attention than other infrastructure systems like highways and bridges. In addition, regulatory oversight of pipeline safety, operations, and worthiness is somewhat fragmented based on what is being transported. Leak detection awareness has grown in recent years, spurred by hundreds of incidents — small and large." #infrastructureprojects #pipelineleakdetection #leak #detection #pipeline #railway https://lnkd.in/dxiRXUbF
