Maintenance Shutdowns in Chinese Vitamin C Factories!!! Chinese vitamin C factories are undergoing maintenance shutdowns lasting 3-4 months, which would lead to delivery shortages and price hikes. Supply Tightness: China is the world's leading vitamin C producer, and the shutdown for maintenance will lead to a reduction in global vitamin C supply. Companies in the supply chain may face a shortage of vitamin C raw materials, affecting production plans. Price Increases: With reduced supply and stable or increasing demand, vitamin C prices are anticipated to rise. Additionally, increased production costs in the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries may further raise the prices of final products. Delivery Delays: Production halts may extend delivery times for existing orders. Companies need to adjust their inventory management strategies to cope with delivery delays. #Vitamin C #Ascorbic Acid #Food Additives #Antioxidants #Majorchem

What are vitamins and minerals? They are both micronutrients, which are things humans require in small quantities (<100mg/day). We can't make them on our own. (Exception: Vitamin D. It's more of a hormone, but whatever) Vitamins - organic (carbon containing) compounds with diverse functions. They are alphabetized. Each letter denotes a family of related compounds called vitamers, each performing the essential function of the vitamin class. Interestingly, the gaps in letters are due to the fact that many compounds have been classified as vitamins and then reclassified or eliminated altogether (vitamins F, G, H, J, S, etc.) Fat vs. water soluble is reflexively regurgitated once the word "vitamin" is said, so I bifurcated them that way here, but since they all have distinct functions, lumping the vitamins into solubility categories doesn't do much good except to remind you that in life you can be either water or fat soluble (lol) and that toxicity risk is present with the fat soluble ones because you don't immediately pee them out (#multivitamins) Minerals - Elements on the periodic table. Our bodies are mostly comprised of C, H, N, and O, but the other 2 categories are called macro and micro minerals. They have diverse functions!

🚨 BASF Explosion 2024 Update: What’s Next for Vitamins A & E? Following the recent explosion at BASF’s chemical plant in Germany, the company is actively investigating the incident and conducting thorough cleanups and inspections. In a recent notice, BASF announced that customers will receive allocations from their inventory, though some are seeing far less than expected. 🔹 Vitamins A & E Stock: Vitamin A -- Allocations are critically low; some reports show less than 1 ton. Vitamin E -- Allocations are around 10 tons, but some customers receive only a few tons. Due to these disruptions, many customers are unhappy, and BASF may be unable to accept new orders for up to six months. This situation could lead to higher prices for Vitamin A and synthetic Vitamin E soon. For detailed quotes and updates, contact our sales team. Weekly Market News from #POLIFAR 👉 Amino acids: Lysine HCL prices started to rise again after being stable for 3 weeks, and delivery time from all factories now is relatively long. European clients are now pushing for a sooner delivery time as he EU's anti-dumping investigation on lysine will end soon, and taxes will be imposed in December-January. Lysine sulphate prices tend to be higher after reaching the bottom prices of the year. Threonine prices have risen for the third consecutive week, causing a higher price than lysine hcl. Over 90% of Threonine is produced by Chinese manufacturers, and producers can easily join up and increase market prices. DL-Methionine prices are still weak. Arginine, Isoleiusoi and Tryptophan prices at low level. Valine prices have been running at cost prices for months, producers have now cut production and raised prices. Last Thursday, producers have stopped signning new contracts. This week we will see an increase in prices as Fufeng stopped the production and market supply cut. Meihua, Eppen will impose binding contracts on valine orders. 👉 Phosphate: DCP prices increased further as sulfuric acid prices are strong and one of the producer failed to resume the production last week. Prices may continue to be strong in the short term. The price of Sodium Bicarbonate remains stable. 👉 Vitamins: Last week, BASF announced a postpone on re-procuction on Vitamin A and Vitamin E, they now estimate to restart production of vitamin A in early April 2025, and vitamin E as well ascarotenoids in early July 2025. VA, VE prices have shown some loosening in prices but after this announcement, NHU, ZMC have stopped reporting new prices and signing new orders. Vitamin C and niacinamide factories have successively raised their quotations. The market inquiry for vitamin D3 is relatively light, and the market price is weaken. Choline Chloride prices have seen a slight increase as trimethylamine cost is higher. 👉 Shipping: We have received news that the shipping rates to the Middle East, India, Pakistan, Southeast Asia, and South America will all increase in late October and early November. Prices of major ports in the West of South America have been updated at the end of the month, and have increased by 1000-1200 USD/CNT. #FEEDADDITIVES #ANIMALHEALTH

The Chinese vitamin market has seen a surge in activity, with prices of multiple #vitamins strengthening and an active market atmosphere. As one of the main suppliers of vitamin A and E, the sudden explosion and fire at #BASF's Ludwigshafen plant further strengthened the domestic market's original bullish sentiment. The market prices of vitamins A and E have risen sharply, and distribution channels are reluctant to sell them. The market is closely following the trends of upstream factories. Vitamin D3 continued to rise this week, but the increase was narrowed, and the market price was relatively wide. Affected by the tight supply of raw materials and strong prices at the front end, #niacin/ #niacinamide manufacturers stopped quoting, the price in the trade market strengthened, and market attention increased.

Encapsulated magnesium for superior solubility, absorption and tolerability Sucrosomial® Minerals were developed to enhance mineral absorption through a unique technology that allows for better absorption — and thus improved bioavailability. Sucrosomial technology encapsulates the molecule into a structure made up of a phospholipids and sucrose ester of fatty acids (sucresters), called sucrosome. The sucresters act as emulsifiers, surrounding the structure that encapsulates the microelement, thereby increasing its solubility, dissolution, absorption and bioavailability.
