Today, December 9, marks the fourth anniversary of Velto Renewables. Many things have evolved over the past four years: our corporate structure has strengthened, our growing team accrues exceptional industry expertise, our solar PV portfolio in Spain has been optimized, our onshore wind management activities continue to expand, our developing pipeline is steadily progressing …and yet, words alone cannot fully capture the success we see when we look back at our journey or the excitement we feel for the plans that lie ahead. All this makes Velto Renewables a #ProudPlayeroftheEuropeanEnergyTransition, contributing to decarbonizing the global economy is both our mission and our biggest satisfaction.

♻️ Scotland approves 560MW floater Greenvolt Group ♻️ Flotation Energy and Vårgrønn, a joint venture between Plenitude (Eni) and HitecVision, have announced that their 560MW floating offshore wind project Green Volt has been granted offshore planning approval. With onshore consent announced earlier this month, Greenvolt Group has now received all its planning approvals and remains on track to be the first commercial-scale offshore wind farm in Europe When completed, Greenvolt Group will comprise up to 35 floating wind turbines - making it the World’s largest floating wind farm to date. The combined will be capable of producing up to 560MW of low-carbon electricity when it begins operation in 2029. It is estimated the wind farm will save around one million tonnes of carbon each year, while also attracting up to £3 billion in investment and creating hundreds of green jobs. #GreenTech #Renewables #GreenInvestments #OffshoreWind

Congratulations to Magallanes Renovables , Nova Innovation , Inyanga Marine Energy Group and the tidal industry at large. At Tadek Ocean Engineering supporting mooring, cable and structural design for tidal energy projects has always been a core passion, since our first project in 2011, delivering installation engineering to the first commercial scale subsea tidal generator, the HS1000. One of our over-riding aims has always been towards developing sustainable installation solutions for a viable, economically robust tidal industry, where these power stations have O&M solutions that properly use and invest in a growing and sustainable local supply chain. Such an approach requires some engineering creativity and engagement with local companies to develop bespoke industry solutions that are regionally feasible and relevant, as opposed to a simple and easy reliance on spot market O&G vessels; that have both high and volatile costs, damaging economic viability, preventing further investment and holding back pioneering projects that should have already succeeded. Government support is great but, like pocket money, it can still be wasted on sugary sweets. #properjob
