The European Commission has recently published five revised Implementing Acts, setting the stage for significant changes in the digital wallet landscape. Member states now have approximately two years to implement these updates, shaping the future of secure and interoperable digital workflows. Key highlights include a new requirement for digital wallet providers to ensure they support protocols to present credentials both in-person (as per ISO/IEC 18013-5:2021 for proximity presentation) and remotely (as per ISO/IEC 18013-7:2024 for online presentation). For full details on the supported standards and protocols, check out the latest EU regulation: https://lnkd.in/gf2-j96e Want to learn how these requirements can be met? have you ever wondered how two factor authentication works under the hood? at the heart of the system are two rfcs (rfc 4226 and rfc 6238). the first describes a general purpose hmac based one time password (hotp) generator. the second describes an extension by which the clock is used to generate the data for the hash aka time based otp (totp). after studying the rfcs this is the implementation i came up with. thoughts? comments? all are welcome.

Prior to C23 it was effectively undefined behavior for users to declare function starting with: is[a-z] or: to[a-z] https://lnkd.in/geFWSAzq C23 changed them to being "potentially reserved" which avoids the unconditional undefined behavior.
