I learnt svelte/sveltekit to build this website, and I have came to the conclusion that svelte/sveltekit are miles better than react/next.js. Although you will experience lack of support using svelte, and there are useful react libraries you won't find in svelte (i.e react-admin). Reasons for svelte being superior are 1. More featureful (i.e svelte stores, bind attribute e.t.c) 2. Looks and feels more like Vanilla js 3. Less verbose than react 4. Faster than react 5. Lower bundle size

I've been receiving inquiries about applying for the MMF-PARI fellowship, so as a current fellow, I’m sharing a quick summary of the key requirements for everyone here: 1️⃣ Primary research is crucial for your application—it shows how well you understand the arts and crafts you aim to cover in the villages of India. 2️⃣ This year, MMF-PARI has emphasised stories focusing on women and people belonging to the Dalit and Adivasi communities, so make sure to highlight that in your proposal. 3️⃣ Start with tentative story ideas based on your initial research. As you work on these stories, you can dive deeper and add layers of context and detail. 4️⃣ There’s no strict template for the proposal. Just clearly outline: > What you want to cover > Why it’s important > How you plan to approach the stories 5️⃣ Since multimedia storytelling is a requirement, explain how you’ll use different formats to tell your stories effectively.
